My wife and I visited the brewery last week. We were going to visit around 10 breweries in Colorado and decided to make Second Chapter our first stop. Friendly staff and very knowledgeable and let us sample a few as well. But I think the hazy definitely shined as well as the stout and raspberry sour. All beer ingredients are locally sourced which I thought was pretty cool. You can just taste that the brewer puts out a good product all around. We will definitely be back.

We had a great time! Kassie was helpful and informative, and we liked nearly all of the beers!
The flight holders are library file drawers - the brewery is in a converted library, which is very cool!

Fun variety of beers and super friendly staff. Great big area suitable for large parties / families, and very kid friendly. The library theme is a nice touch. Was a bit bummed they don’t fill growlers, so with their canner down and unable to fill crowlers either, no to go options. Would definitely go back!

For those familiar with the building and its history, you will absolutely adore the tasteful renovation of this space and conversion into (forgive me) its second chapter. Lisa and Richard have done a wonderful job of giving this space new life and turning it into a place again you would like to spend hours.

While the building is beautiful, the beer is likely the reason you're coming to Second Chapter, and you won't be disappointed. We did a sampler with all 9 beers they had on hand and there's definitely something for everyone in their flight. My wife and I enjoyed all of the beers, but certainly had our favorites. Surprisingly, I think I enjoyed their Trashy Romance Seltzer the best, and I'm not ordinarily a seltzer or a cider guy, but it's just so dang crisp. It's even better with the cinnamon sugar rim. My wife liked the Drunken Sentinel the most, an American Pale Ale. Lisa informed me they are working on adding an IPA and an oatmeal stout that I'm very excited to come back to try.

Lake Mac Shack is located in the parking lot. We had a wonderful meal that we were invited to bring into the brewery to enjoy with our beers. We recommend sampling their food too! The meatball sandwich is the best I have had anywhere!

On a warm February Saturday afternoon, this was not a place you'd be able to snuggle up with a book and a beer since the place was packed, but it's definitely not a dark and dingy bar filled with college students and frat guys. Bring your group here, you'll be able to have a conversation at a comfortable volume but not feel like you're being too loud. If you like breweries for the beer and the atmosphere, you're definitely going to love Second Chapter Brewery. We look forward to our next visit!
