Would probably rent one of the detached cabins. I hear a lot of good ghost stories that I'd like to experience someday. It's neat to have the restaurant and bar in the same lodging area so it is a simple thing of just coming downstairs. The only thing is they do not open all night.”

They did not wash their hands, and also touched the inside of the lid several times to get it to seat correctly. I don't have a compromised immune system, so I just went with it, but they need to train their employees to be washing their hands regularly.”

There are homemade soups and sauces. If you're local, there are special deals for you. Drinks for the kids and adults. Outside seating with the most spectacular views! If you go there during the hottest part of summer, it is a nice way to get out of the heat for a bit and relax. The menu as of last check was reasonable and the staff did a good job keeping the place clean. I've enjoyed my visits here. It does usually take a bit to get your order, particularly if you are there in the off season, but that is likely because they do not have as much staff. Overall, a good place to go.”

“This is one of my favourite places to stop whenever we are in Virginia City. They have such great varieties of different candies, I personally love the rock candies on a stick and the huge jawbreakers. The kids love all the different favours of ice creams and the hot dogs. There is a nice place to sit inside and eat and it is a great place to go to get a soda on a hot summers day. The staff has always been friendly to us and especially good to the kids. The prices aren't the cheapest, but the quality and service make it worth the little bit extra. This is a great place for a family to go when touring the town and walking up and down the boardwalks. The place has a homey, old-fashioned feel and is in a convenient locations as well. The establishment is clean and welcoming. I definitely recommend you try it if you haven't already. Worth going to every time you visit.”

The ambience was quite special, kind of living room style - quiet and lovely, the server really was devoted to us and made sure we were well taken care of. This business is a family business with Mom cooking. The food was phenomenal, we had prime rib as well as some of the chicken dishes. Some of the previous reviews mentioned that the portions were small, but that did not apply to any of the meals we ordered. As a special bonus, there was a life singing performance. Prices were entirely reasonable. Can highly recommend this place!”

“Very nice fine dining set-up. Heavy weight white table, cloth napkin, solid weighty utensils. Interesting, informative and historical pictures / art on display throughout. Because it was not busy I felt It was ok to meander around the dining area and look. The view was beautiful. The dining area has windows all the way and gorgeous roses played outside each. A very high class vibe! Diners on a Monday evening were all dressed alike. Casual. No flip flops but sandals and event t-shirts were at most tables. Start off in the bar! May I suggest a DEAD MULE with locally distilled CEMETERY gin Sip your favorite while chatting it up with the friendliest bar tender or one or both of the owners. They like to eat dinner at the bar sipping mojitos made with thier own home grown mint. You would feel welcome and comfortable on an elegant first or tenth date and just as comfortable grabbing a bite out because it was too hot to cook! The menu is priced steeper than a burger joint but low enough there's room for dessert!”
