The Rusty Hammer

Once last dinner at the Hammer. Love the atmosphere, been grabbing a club sandwich for years. We will miss the Hammer. Good luck to the crew.

The rusty hammer is truly a bar. After perusing the immense selection of beer and cider they had on tap (30+) we decided on a downeast original and a good ol Lone Pine IPA from the great state of Maine. Sadly I have forgotten out bartenders name but he was as every but friendly and attentive you would want a bartender to be. We shared some delectable mozzarella sticks and chatted about our life. Thank you rusty hammer, I will be visiting again. 5 stars

Super friendly waitress named Jennifer. Watched her interact with the 8 tables she had going at once. Great service and excellent food.

Laid back, hipster vibe - the atmosphere was a nice change from the hectic, boisterous, college student life in some other nearby bars. Good selection of draft beers, decent music - a couple of large TVs were playing sports above the bar, but weren't intrusive. Somewhere to go with a few friends for a solid session of chat and beverages...

We had great time at The Rusty Hammer which we stumbled upon walking down the street in Portsmouth. Loved the quick service, great “Wimpy” chicken sandwich and chicken tenders washed down cold beer and the overall friendliness and vibe. Would love to be back!
