“We loved the look and old charm of this beautiful Victorian hotel. - The location was perfect. We enjoyed the beach and were able to walk to shops and dining. - I understand that renovations take time and I was happy to have a room with TVs for the kids. The rooms are BARE, really needs some wall art or something. It had a very sterile feel to it. Also it was advertised as a queen bed and it was definitely a full size. A mini fridge would be a good idea to put in the rooms as well. - We we’re disappointed that the bar area didn’t stay open. We were celebrating our anniversary and had to go to Congress Hall to celebrate. Congress Hall was packed, had entertainment, and was a great time.”

“Sorry, but if you're looking for an excellent cup of coffee, and you're a coffee buff like me, this is likely not the place. They do not use all natural flavored syrups to make their lattes (DaVinci syrups contain preservatives), there are many organic and all natural syrups out there - why not use quality ingredients? And self serve vats of coffee? I can receive the same level of service at a gas station by filling up my own cup. They don't put a lot of "Tyme" or love into making or serving their coffee in my opinion.”

“Your experience really depends on what room you receive. I booked through a third party for $115/ night. We stayed in room 02 in the Inn itself. The room is comically small, definitely would not want to be here for more than a weekend. Check-in is located access the street at Congress Hall, which is not exactly ideal. Bed was a bit on the hard side, and barely fit in the room. Toilet is cramped next to the shower, there is no tub. No mini-fridge or mini-bar. You're paying for the easy access to the Washington St. Mall and you are a block from the beach. We could see the ocean from both windows, which was certainly a plus.”

“We waited a bit without being greeted. Other people walked in after us that were staying at the hotel and almost left. The man that finally came to the front was nice when he seated us. The waitress was nice and attentive. I got a waffle and bacon which was good. I loved the decor. I definitely want to go back for lunch.”

“Freda's Cafe is great culinary experience. That is one of the best I have had in Cape May, county. The name cafe is a great way to hide a special dinning experience. The decor fits with the s cape may. Style and building it hides in. The price was well matched to the chefs skillfully designed menu, is the start of gourmet experience. The seafood bisque was fresh and savory. The appetizers were some thing to experience. If you have the time sneak in to Freda and don't blab about a hidden gourmet experience. Like me”

“Sandwiches are ok but nothing to write home about. The milkshakes on the other hand are where its at. Rich, creamy and competitively priced to say the least- cancel your plans for the next two hours as you drift off into a caloric coma.”
