The savory foods are good too especially the sauces and soups, which are wonderful. Holiday time this is my go to for cakes and pies….the apple crisp is amazing! So grateful for the gluten free, vegan and organic options. It’s a worthwhile stop!”

“Super high quality handmade breads, baked goods, sandwiches, pizzas and pizza-like things using artisanal ingredients... unique and different to the neighborhood. Menu is seasonal and always changing... follow them online to see what they have and when they are open. Order ahead online if you don't want to wait in line...works very well. Highly recommended neighborhood spot. To those people who don't get it and feel the need to compare it to the numerous pizzerias and deli's around the neighborhood...many of which are top-notch and very popular and open all the regular expected hours... Bread & Salt is doing something new and different for those of us in the neighborhood who wish to have something that is not the same all the time. Those places are great and everybody has their favorites, but sometimes you desire a change and want to taste something new. Those reviewers saying they're using cheap tomatoes and whatnot just don't know what they're talking about as that's just a lie. They are very up front about what they use and they use very expensive ingredients. You simply cannot charge the same for products made from them....it's simply not fair to compare them. If you can't tell the difference or the difference just doesn't matter to you, just go someplace else and enjoy...why the bad review for a place that works hard to please it's customers and clearly has their love and support? 🤌 Long live Bread & Salt...kudos.”

“There fried fish comes in assorted dinners, there's many platters to choose from I had scallops, haddock, shrimp also comes with French fries. The scallops are very good. They close @ 7pm. And get very busy. You place your order through a speaker hole in the plastic shield. Small parking place and there are vendors that hang out, becareful only carry what you have to or lock your purses in the trunk. If you have to carry your purse close all pockets. Enjoy your food "”

“Definitely a mom and pop. The service and attention to the individual was great. While the meal size I went with was a bit pricey and that may be on me the portion sizes were BIG. One larger meal along with a chicken soup was more then enough for my family of 3 with left overs me for. Great new spot love that we are getting so many different local restaurants 😀”

“First, I would like to say this is very home cooked good food! I ordered roti(chicken), fried rice (shrimp) (with stew chicken gravy), plantains, and Mac (it was was sold out …so I ain’t taste it). But, i am sure if I had tried it would would have bumped this to 6stars! But presentation wonderful, food quality authentic, customer service genuine. “The restaurant has only been open a week. Sitting at the edge of the water, the view of NYC is spectacular! The bar is the standout, occupying half of the space. We found the restaurant portion of the interior to be dark, cold and noisy, rather than warm and inviting. The service was outstanding! There were four in the party and we all had dinner. We all had trouble selecting entrees from the ambitious, but limited menu. Billing themselves as “Steak, Chops and Seafood on the Hudson”, there were only two fish entrees and two steak entrees to select from, excepting the four person bistecca for $265 and lobster. We would have preferred a couple of simpler fish and steak entree options, such as salmon and filet mignon. Portions were generous. All in, it is a little pricy for a full dinner with cocktails…sides ($16 each) and dessert ($17 each) . Go and enjoy the view with cocktails and apps at the bar. Check out the menu before deciding on dinner. I am not reviewing the food, since they just opened. The menu has changed slightly from the one they originally posted. We all agreed that we preferred their sister restaurant Liberty House!”

“A perfect delicious Manhattan! Love the wallpaper and toned-down decor. The outdoor space is really beautifully done with wooden bleachers and extended bar. We had our company party here a couple of days ago and I loved hanging outside even though it was a bit chilly -and can't wait to see it full in the spring and summer. Service was excellent, the shrimp were exceptional.”
