“Ship Inn/ Descendants Brew Pub has been a long time local stop for me for more years than I care to admit. But this is my first time in several months. Part of the transition from Ship Inn to Descendants Brewing has involved some tasteful renovations/update which nicely blend the old charm with an upscale look. In addition to their on premise brews, they have a nice selection of "guest taps" and English/ European bottles. An expanded menu offers some staples and new offerings. I started with a Best Bitter and some Old Bay seasoned wings. The wings were meaty, juicy and very crispy (no breading). The Old Bay went great with a side of Dill dipping sauce. The Best Bitter was of course as good as it's always been. For my main course I chose the Wild Boar burger with Bacon & Goat Cheese. It was cooked as ordered (medium), juicy and delicious! While great on it's own, the side of Mole dipping sauce was a great enhancement and worked well with the flavor of the boar, the thick cut bacon, and the creaminess of the goat cheese. I washed that down with the house Irish Stout. Very awesome meal, friendly and attentive waitstaff. If you've never been Go! If you're just venturing out for the first time in 2021, make sure this is on your shortlist.”

“Finding a good vegetarian burger that isn't the same tired old veggie/black bean burgers is hard. But Milford House knocked it out of the park. Their mushroom burger is fantastic. I only wish it was on a bun and not a Kaiser roll but regardless I'd have it again in a heartbeat. The fries are the perfect addition as well. Salty and crispy. And the chairs near the bar are so comfy. It was a wonderful night. Fellow vegetarians you won't be disappointed.”

I had the salmon with spinach, which was good but the spinach was swimming in butter. Very yummy, just not very low-cal. The service was good and the prices were decent.”

“Tubing was AWESOME. One of the most fun things I've done in awhile. Why 3 stars? The food was just really really awful. If you can put a kitchen on a float, then you can make good food in it. It wasn't that busy, yet they handed our food to us and it wasn't even hot. Did they not cook it long enough? I'll never know. I buy cheap burgers and hot dogs too, and if you cook them all the way, they're not so lousy. These were lousy.”
