“It's nice to find a local place you can call home. We always feel welcomed at Upstream. It's like seeing your friends every time you are greeted by the staff. The food is amazing and changes seasonally. Everything is made from fresh local ingredients and you can taste that is every dish that Chef Ken makes. I am so addicted that I visit for lunch several times a week and we visit for Happy Hour once a week. If you haven't tried Upstream yet you have to get there soon!”

“Local townie dives are usually pretty exclusive. If you're new or not from the area the locals and regulars usually greet you with a "who the heck is this guy" attitude. Mason Street is different. Plied with good food, good drink selections, and good music (live and on the jukebox), everyone is a regular and nobody is an outsider. It's a breath of fresh air to feel welcomed in a new bar, and I will definitely be back again.”

“My wife and I went on their first official night open. The service was fine especially keeping in mind it was the first week and the food was very good. My two major complaints came from the fact that they seemed to be a bit more expensive than Don Jose or Riviera Maya which I could overlook due to proximity to my house. On top of that I felt the portion sizes were small and after ordering an appetizer and an entree as well as going through 2 baskets of chips I was still hungry.”

“Great dinner to celebrate Valentine's Day. Although my girlfriend and I didn't actually go on Valentine's Day, we went on the weekend a few days later. Reservations were for Saturday night at 7:30pm. We arrived a few minutes early and we were seated right away. The dinner itself was great. We ordered the lobster rolls as an appetizer. They were eaten so fast that I didn't even get a chance to take a picture of them; we even ordered a second round, that's how good they were! As for the entrees, I ordered the hanger steak, while she had the scallops. Both dishes were extrmely tasty and cooked perfectly. The only negative I can say, and it wasn't even a big deal, was that we wanted the surf and turf special but they were all out. Hopefully when we visit next time, they will still have it. Overall, it was a great experience and we fully intend to come back.”

Now Sunday morning we got breakfast here again because we had a great experience the first time here except this time There was a long piece of hair cooked into my omelette. If I heard correct somebody here did not believe that I found it in there. Was kind of disappointed when I overheard that. But besides that , everything else was okay.”

“I'm a big fan of ribs, and this place has the best ribs I have ever eaten in my life. So tender, so juicy, hot, sweet, cooked to perfection. I had a nibble of the ribs without the sauce, and they were so smokey sweet I could have eaten them without the sauce. (The sauce was awesome though, thick and sweet, which is how I like it, the medium sauce was very spicy, and I didn't even try the hot sauce, but my father couldn't stop eating it! I thought he was going to eat it with a spoon!) I thought the coleslaw was kind of bland. But I didn't go there for the coleslaw. They seemed a little understaffed, so we had to wait a little bit for service. However the server was extremely friendly, apologetic for the slow service, and he took good care of us. I feel we got good value for our money. Especially for the high quality ribs! I would have rated this place four stars, because not every aspect of our experience was perfect, however the ribs were honestly so good, and so juicy, and the server was so friendly, that I would absolutely go back here again. I have never had such good barbecue.”

With other better restaurants around, I don't see the point, other than the fact that they're on the main highway. They need to up their game.”

My son has developmental disabilities and is not always well-received because he can be loud (in a happy way, but loud nonetheless). Instead, the staff, one in particular, was so kind and accepting and made us feel incredibly welcomed. On top of that, the pizza was delicious! We will definitely be back again!”
