“Went during COVID and all guidelines were adhered to. The service was superb and the food was amazing. We started with Grilled Octopus appetizer which the texture and flavors were perfect. For entrées we had the Halibut and the Scallops and shared a side of Brussel Sprouts ... everything was mouth watering delicious. Their cocktails were equally as satisfying. The dessert choices were minimal but we were too full anyway. Can’t wait to go back.”

“PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE REVIEW. Went last night for New Yeats Eve. Hostess was friendly and we were seated right away. The five course dinner was wonderful and even though they were busy and possibly short staffed, everything was great. However, while we waited for them to prepare for the second seating of dinner service, we were unlucky enough to have been seated next to the most obnoxious woman on the planet! From the moment this woman sat down with her party of 5 others, she began to bark orders to the staff, complain non stop, use profanity and send every single course that they put in front of her back to the kitchens. You name it, she complained about it. You could see the waiter was getting frustrated trying to please her but handled himself with the utmost professionalism. We were honestly appalled by her behavior and felt bad for the staff. Four other people in her party were not complaining and just wanted to eat at this point but she wouldn’t allow anything to even be placed on the table before sending it back stating they hadn’t gotten their appetizers yet. Mind you, she sent then back four times previously. We overheard her say that their meal should be free and that 75.00 per person was a travesty. She was very vocal when she kept repeating how she was too the owner of a restaurant and kept comparing what she would do to what she felt was poor service. It was right around them when she proceeded to come over to OUR table, completely uninvited and take a seat. After the initial shock wore off, we didn’t even give her a chance to speak and rally our support of her poor behavior, we promptly asked her to leave. She must have been in shock because she did not get up even after we asked her to leave several times. We proceeded to tell her she was the rudest woman we had every encountered, told her it was shameful to treat the staff as she was and that her constant complaining was ruining OUR NIGHT TOO. We pointed out that no one else in the entire restaurant had a complaint but HER! She eventually left our table to return to her own. I must say after that, she never complained in front of us again so hopefully the staff got a break from her after that. It wasn’t until this morning that we realized this was the owner of a small place in surf city that we went to once and that hers was the restaurant she kept comparing to Gregory’s. We had gone there once and while the food wasn’t bad, her demeanor was off putting. She was not nice her her own staff and you could see their embarrassment and frustration. She was intrusive, coming over to the table many, many times throughout the night. I understand one or twice but this lady circles the room like a shark not allowing you to enjoy your meal much less each other’s company. We found it annoying and didn’t return. How awful that a fellow owner, understanding of how service can be on a very busy night, could be so rude. We will NEVER patronize her restaurant again. We will however go back to Gregory’s again and again. Keep up the good work!”

“Went here last minute on a Friday night, the place we were going to go to was closed and we had to make a quick decision. Drove past Russo's and it looked cute so we pulled in. As we were turning around we put ourselves on the Yelp wait list. We were seated in 20 mins in a nicely decorated, clean dining room. Wait staff was very friendly and the fact that it was BYOB was great. Food was delicious - we got the roasted red pepper and mussels as appetizers, both tasty. And the rolls were SO good, garlicky and fresh. Our entrees were hot and generously portioned, everyone was happy with their choices. And the bill was reasonable! Nice to have a vacation dinner that doesn't break the bank. We've been coming here for 50+ yrs as a family, and we regret we didn't come here sooner! We'll be back!”

“Very friendly beach restaurant. We went on a Sunday morning. It was busy but we were able to get a seat quickly. The staff was very friendly. The food was good. The Atmosphere is beach diner. There are photos of Hurricane Sandy on the wall. Bathroom is tiny. It met our needs for leisurely Sunday breakfast.”

“Very nice staff. It's a noisy environment when there are a lot of people. There's nothing to absorb the sound. Wood floors, hard furniture, but all tastefully done. Just kinda loud. We all ordered the pistachio crusted scallops. They were very "crusted" . They seemed fried, but could have been baked. Too much crust for a delicate scallop. I would not order it again. I love beet salad, and theirs is very good. Overall, is was okay but it wouldn't hit the top of my list for a must have night out. But some of the entrees might rate higher.”

“So pumped Surf Taco came to LBI! This will be a stop for me on every trip down the island. The food is great and the staff is friendly, and the store was really clean. It's hard to go wrong with anything on the menu, but the Maverick burrito is my go-to and always a solid choice. I tried the surf taco for the first time today and it was super good. That's gonna become a thing.”

“Excellent. The food is fantastic and the service spectacular. BYOB and enjoy. There is outside dining along the rail and if the weather is good take advantage of the outside. Because it is good and on the small size for seating there usually is a wait. The fresh catch and everything else is great. This night for me was fried shrimp in a basket and Jersey corn on the cob no better corn anywhere. The others enjoyed the crab and the shrimp and grits. Everything was delicious. A true shore experience.”

“We have been going to Raimondo's for 20 years. We have always had exceptional service and terrific food. Today was no exception! Linda, our waitress, was extremely pleasant and very professional. The food was extraordinary. We had a fish dish as well as the ribeye steak. Both were extremely tasty with an excellent presentation. The mashed potatoes and broccoli rabe were absolutely delicious. I almost forgot the Caesar salad, which was one of the best that we ever had, anywhere. The entire staff was very pleasant and welcoming. We read about an ownership change. The fact is that the new owner was the previous chef for many years. He hasn't lost anything. He is terrific.”

Since the renovations at the end of summer 2018, the place looks like a upscale modern place inside. I like it, it's very modern. The staff seemed to awkwardly stand around watching us making it a slightly uncomfortable environment. Service wasn't that friendly. The server seemed inexperienced, and we felt somewhat rushed. They seemed inconvenienced to serve us a waffle because it was after 2pm. Nonetheless, these weren't large concerns and I'll be back sometime.”

“This place has some of the BEST pancakes! They were absolutely melting in our mouths! And they offer a lot of different varieties, too. “Ok, I'm a skeptic at times. My first time there 2-days ago, was off season. Sign said "BEST Burgers On The Island!" Of course I did NOT believe it....until I custom ordered & TASTED ONE! Fresh, fresh chop meat (from local butcher): had fresh garlic mixed INTO burger meat, slice cheddar, slice raw onion, FLAMED COOKED to order MEDIUM RARE, fresh big bun! And some kinda "real cut potato fries, w skin on them = GREAT! Luscious burger, juicy, off hook GOOD! Owner (maybe Woody?) with ice-blue eyes, gave GREAT, courteous service! Young dude w/ same ice-blue eyes, also courteous . I live ALL WAY in Asbury Park, & Woodie Burgers top EVERYTHING, & great-value pricing!”
