“Great place for fishing and crabbing. These guys outfitted (!!!) us with cages, hooks, bait and a boat and off we went fishing. Of course, you can also just go by the wharf and fish (and crab) right on the spot. Service was kind and the guy at the counter and at the dock where helpful on where to fish and how to run the boat. The place is rather easy to access from Seaside, although be careful going in as there is a rather sharp turn across traffic. Parking is easily available and is free.”

“This place is amazingly good with dynamite food and prices to match you can't beat this place. So happy they opened in the area because their menu is filled with variety from tamales bursting with flavor at an affordable price of 3 for $6 to sweet plantains that will have you drooling for More. The owner is the nicest guy too , very into his business and the community he offers excellent specials for students. Just go here and get anything from tacos to quesadillas you won't be disappointed, the service is super fast too!”

“Tea Lunch with the extra flare. A group of 11 ladies went for a lovely and delicious lunch in the Tearoom. We were given a private area and were served scrumptious food beginning with a salad up to dessert. And scones and clotted butter were included. It was so delicious many of us bought some teas and the soup they served. The house was decorated beautifully for the holidays and the Innkeeper gave us a tour of the rooms. If you’re up for a bit of shopping they also have a gift shop of lovely teapots, cozies, and craft items. The never rushed us and we thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon. The guest rooms were beautiful and come with a gourmet breakfast.”

“So glad we have a great place in Toms River now for bagels. I was driving down to FR for my bagels. We got pork roll, egg and cheese and bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches which were both great. The roll was not stale like they usually are in our area. We also got a dozen bagels which are great as well. Cute place with very nice employees. Will be visiting often.”

“This is the second time we visited this restaurant....the first time was a good experience but the second time wasn't as good. Being told by the waiter that our apps would come out before the dinner. Waiting about 25 minutes we decided to ask where the apps were. Unfortunately all the food came out at once while one of the apps came out last. When I said something to the food runner she just said the dinner was done and she delivered. No options to bring it back a few minutes later. Also, the food wasn't warm enough. At this point we were starving and annoyed so we ate. The waiter apologized but I felt he didn't want the bad kitchen experience to affect his tip. But I felt it wasn't a good experience...”

“Had dinner at terrific new Pizzaria in Whiting. Eggplant Parmigiana and homemade meatballs were outstanding, as was the pizza. Salad was fresh and crisp. Owner is the Chef and makes you feel like a guest rather than a customer. Highly recommended.”

“Okay, so I love bubble tea with my entire soul. The whole thing. We just spent a week on the island for vacation. My mom dragged me out because she knows I love bubble tea and this place did. not. disappoint. They just recently opened and the bubble tea isn't even set up yet. (It will be this weekend.) The absolute sweetheart at the counter asked her boss if she could whip up a mango bubble with pearls and she did! Talk about above and beyond service. The pearls are perfect and the tea is perfectly sweet. When we come back, I'm going to make this place my first stop for sure.”

“A must make pit stop before heading to the shore house. Lenny's has the freshest ground sirloin for burgers, over-sized Thuman's hot dogs, and beautifully butchered meats. Their skirt steaks always impress my guests. Also, grab a sub on your way back home...it'll be the best 10 bucks you'll spend all weekend!”

“I cannot share enough how wonderful Chases Room is for children with autism. Going there New Years Eve with family and friends proved to be the best decision made for all of us. The waitress, Sylvia, was outstanding understanding my grandson and our friends sons needs. A visit from Chase’s grandfather was especially thoughtful. The “perks” the kids received was also wonderful. Our family and friends will definitely share this experience with others. Thank you from Owen, Brady, Cody....and the rest of our group.”

“Tasty Mexican restaurant with Fantastic Decor at a Premium. Certain staple items, like beans, miss the mark. Not sure I'll be back as there's lots of competition in the area. Take out food was a flop. Pros: + Excellent Decor. Some of the best I've seen. + Plenty of parking. + Taco's are excellent. Tasty and crunchy. + Presentation of meals if excellent. Cons: - Food cost at a premium compared to other Mexican restaurants. Ex. Tornandez Restaurant is 20-30% less for all similar items. - Host/Servers lack understanding of what comes with meals. Will then debate with you. - Beans are very poorly made, watery. - Lengthy wait time for food after being seated. 40 min during last visit. but understandable for a 2 week old restaurant.”

“Heard about about this place on line and saw it had great reviews so we had to try it and I'm glad we did. Food was delicious, not crowded at all. The woman there was very nice and prepared a great meal. Not the food I'm used to but that's what made it great. The establishment itself was very very clean including restrooms. Definitely worth checking out once!”

“I went for the first time last Friday. Despite the fact that I had read an awful review on the biscuits and gravy (my favorite), I decided to try it I would have given it a 5 that day as it was delicious...actually the best ever. I also ordered the cinnamon bun French toast, which was awesome!!! I brought some of that home. I liked it so much, I brought a close friend back a week later to try it. This time, my rating went from 5 to 2. That is why I averaged them at 3. First of all, you have to go according to the menu. I wanted an omelet with a side of biscuits and gravy. That was not possible unless you bought both dishes instead of upgrading the 2 eggs to an omelet with a small up charge. There are no real combos if eggs and pancakes or omelets unless you did poached eggs. Ok, so I stuck with the biscuits and gravy as I had liked it so much, but decided to add 2 sausage links which you are allowed to do. I don't know what happened in the 1 week period, but it went from the best thing ever to disgusting. I now saw what the other reviewer had seen, not nearly enough gravy to even cover the biscuit. I asked for more gravy and was told there would be an up charge. I asked for the manager. She also mentioned the up charge. I explained that I had been there the previous week and this was no where near what I had, so she agreed to bring the gravy no charge. I also complained that the 2 sausage links were partially uncooked. She took them back to replace them, amazingly without an up charge!!! The waitress then brought the extra gravy, which was no more than milk poured in a bowl with several pieces of sausage! It was disgusting, but since I didn't want to complain further, I mixed it the other gravy and ate it, but it was nasty. I cut into the sausage links, which were well done on the outside, but again partially uncooked on the inside!!! The second link was cooked correctly. I again told the manager and she said she addressed it with the cook. Very definitely disappointed with my second trip there and may hesitate to return. If you are looking for interesting, dessert like french toast or pancakes, this is your place, but definitely not for biscuits and gravy with sausage!! Also both visits the coffee was served cold!!”
