The super burrito is massive and definitely be split between 2 people. All items were pretty good. “El Vado RV Park has a DINER!!! El Vado Diner! They are getting their feet under them and lots of plans for future additions! You will not be disappointed in the portions! The Friday night special of Fish and Chips arrived to the table with THREE huge, in-house battered cod, potatoes and slaw for $15. Marlo (El Vado Diner's chef) greeted us and brought our water, we didn't know he was the chef until we asked who prepared our yummy meal and our server told us. It is exciting to have a restaurant OPEN for dinner in northern New Mexico (Tierra Amarilla/Chama area) and judging from the number of customers on this visit, so are A LOT of people! Another customer told us they came in for lunch earlier in the week and the burrito was outstanding! Definitely looking forward to the next visit! El Vado Diner is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, be SURE to check them out for a date, when company is in town or you're just hungry!”

“Cafe in a gas station. Very clean and light. Cashier very friendly. Waited over 20 minutes for a simple 2 item order when there were no other customers. Food had no salt at all. Pinto beans REALLY needed a little salt. “Sautéed Vegetables” means 3 different colors of bell peppers with a couple tiny pieces of zucchini. Hot sauce on the side VERY hot. No medium or mild chili available. Will try one more time before writing it off.”

“This place was absolutely amazing! Stopped here the other day after work, figured I'd give it a try. The meat was tender, had a decent amount of fat, and the flavor was perfect. You can taste the layers of flavor in the bark. The bbq sauce perfectly complimented the meat without being overpowering (like A1 or other sauces do). The potato salad was great; it wasn't sweet or too mushy. The price is reasonable for what you get, and the service was awesome. Everything was so good, I decided to eat in my car instead of taking it home! I couldn't recommend this place enough. Please give it a try!”

“Stopped by here on a road trip the recommendation of ladies at next door gas station. Small roadside place with only a few tables, but very clean and cozy inside. The burrito I had was extremely tasty, served up fresh and fast in a simple paper bag. The man and woman working that day were very friendly and hustling; evidently they have a robust take out business with the local folks. Highly recommended!”

The breakfast burritos are big and filling, the green & red sauce (Christmas is what New Mexicans call it) is good, the green being hotter of the two. The bacon is nice and thick. The omelette is good with the green sauce. The biscuits & gravy is okay wish it was sausage gravy but I crumbled my sausage. Kids plates plentiful and the cost is not high. Definitely recommend”

“Every time I've gone here, I've had the best service and good food! This latest visit, we enjoyed some awesome Tostadas de Ceviche, kids Beef Tacos Plate, Tacos al Patron (tacos with a combination of beef, shrimp and bacon), Fajitas de Tiburon (shark) and Filete de Mojo de Ajo (tilapia fillet steamed in butter and garlic). The portions are very generous and all the entrees with the exception of the fajitas, were served with avocado, rice and the best fries ever. Chips with pico de gallo, a bean dip and a avocado cucumber dip are served as you wait for your food. It was the birthday of a member of our party and they brought out a delicious piece of flan with whipped cream.”
