“We have mixed feelings to Fushimi, and the mixed feelings were caused by inconsistency. Years ago, it was our favorite local restaurant to go because everything we ordered tasted wonderful and their price was very reasonable. Few years back, our friends and we started to get occasional sour(expired) veggies/mushrooms in our dishes. After that, one of their chef started to smoke so close that we could inhale the smoke while eating in the restaurant. They seemed to take the smoking part lightly, because it continually happened for at least 3 more visits from us. Because of the health concern for our baby, we stopped going there for about half a year. We returned at the beginning of this year, and they may have hired a different chef or staff because lots of dishes tasted different from we remembered(still good). For a few months, we hadn't had bad experience until early May when the cigarette smoke returned. Again, the waitress just told me that I could smell the smoke because the chef may have forgot to close the window. There was no "I'm sorry" in her immediate response. I had to ask her to tell whoever the smoker was to go further out and it was not acceptable for the customers to be able to smell cigarette smoke inside the restaurant. Just FYI, there was no changing table in the restrooms.”

“There is 1 employee here every time I go in before 6am and usually a line forming at the drive thru window. Thw employee is AWESOME and knows my coffee order and has it for me as quickly as possible. But the understaffing is absurd for what 1 more person for 1 or 2 more hours would cost the owner. I DONT buy food because it takes too long to get it here. If 1 more person was working I'd eat also. Throwing away money due to staffing and if it werent for the great employee there I'd go elsewhere for coffee also. 5 stars for employee, 1 star for store averages out to 3 stars.”

I don't add all the veggies to mine (just steak and cheese) so the quality of the steak, the seasoning and the bun all have to be top quality and they certainly are great here. It's a little expensive for the area, but quality costs money too. I hope they are able to get enough customers in the area to be able to stay. Only knock is the fries were pretty average. Too many places put fries as an afterthought or cost savings and this is the kind of place you should be able to expect great fries.”

Which I like grilled and slathered in butter because in the morning all bets are off! Drive through is fairly swift.
