“I don't recommend going inside. It's near the homeless shelter so you deal with dirty bathrooms and mentally ill homeless people hanging around there pretty much all hours of the day and night. As a female I don't feel comfortable there alone at night. Lock your doors and go through drive-thru.”

“We had an opportunity to dine here on a Monday night during chilly February. We were greeted at the door by the manager. He took our coats and hung them up for us... the server was amazing. She was friendly, knowledgeable and informative regarding the menu and wine selections. The food was excellent. We shared a daily seafood special, a small plate selection and of course a steak. Everyone was thrilled with the presentation, preparation and taste of our dishes. The prices reflected the quality of this restaurant.The overall dining experience was outstanding. We will drop in again on my next visit to Jamestown.”

“I'm disappointed, because I don't think wearing gloves on their employees works. They should just wash their hands. The kids working the drive thru window had gloves on, and they were filthy. Obviously they aren't changing them. I almost wasn't going to eat my food, but I took it all out of the bags, put it on a plate, and then washed my hands good before eating. Change em or get rid of them!”

“We have been talking about trying this restaurant for quite a while... now I wish we had tried it much sooner! We caught the last day of the April special when 16" specialty pizzas were just $11. We ordered two specialty pizzas (a meat lovers and a Sis) and three "drums". The crust of the pizza is a thin crust, which I don't usually like, but this one was wonderful. It has good flavor. texture, and held up well to folding in true New York style. The toppings were plentiful on both pizzas and the flavors mixed well. The "drums" were equally delicious, and cooked to perfection. The skin had just a hint of crispiness and the meat was juicy and tender. The best part however was the sauce. We tried the Mango-Habenero which was an amazing blend of the two flavors that created a hot, but sweet combination that we all agreed was fantastic. In short, we will be returning to Elmo's a lot in the future, and with all the varieties of pizza and sandwiches available, I can't wait to try them all!”

“I was looking for a pet friendly restaurant while visiting the area and found this place based on the great reviews. Mark and his staff went above and beyond expectations. For our party of 12, they made the effort to bring out extra tables and chairs out on their small patio, a cushion and chew toys for my puppy and made every effort to make us feel welcome. He even offered to fix a dish for my puppy! The food was great and very thoughtfully divided on separate plates for the children sharing a dish. Best of all, we had such a great conversation with him and shared stories and testimonies. I have dined at many high end, fancy restaurants through the years and none of them compared to the warmth and service we received at Allen Street diner. Thank you so much Mark and staff! “Very good food, extremely nice waitress and great service! Only comment is that it is 'seat yourself' but there is no sign to let you know. I saw the staff explaining to multiple new arrivals that they should seat themselves. If you just put a sign at the door that says 'Seat Yourself' then the staff won't have to constantly tell people, and guests won't stand at the door confused.”
