“I am from Texas visiting Buffalo for work. This was my first time coming to Joe's Deli and it was an amazing experience. When I walked in the manager Todd was up front and greeted my colleague and I. I proceeded to explain to Todd I had just recently got over a stomach bug and before I could finish he knew exactly where I was going with this. He said if you're looking for something lite, I would recommend our chicken noodle soup. Loved the idea and asked about a sandwich as well. He then recommended the Lucy so I ordered both and they were so dam good! Todd and the rest of the staff very kind and came by to check on us, every offering To-Go containers. I will be coming here for lunch every day I am here until I go back home to Texas!”

“I was here for an event in a private room so maybe they struggled due to timing on food. While service was good the food was OK at best. The fish fry stood out as a crowd favorite. The Yankee Pot Roast was really salty--maybe too salty. Fries, however, were under seasoned. This is an old staple that is coasting on reputation a little bit.”

The homemade soups are absolutely delightful and I often take home a quart for future meals. The owners, Judy and Tony maintain high standards in caring for the food they serve. “Everything was delicious. Portion sizes were very good and service was prompt and friendly. Shared a bowl of lobster bisque and they plated (bowled?) it separately in the kitchen. It was really creamy and good and like getting two for the price of one tho that wasn't our intention. Shared a "berry goat cheese salad with grilled chicken" and shrimp and crab ravioli. Both were delicious with nice size pieces of seafood in the ravioli and a wonderful sherry cream sauce. All three food items were on the daily specials menu. Shared (again) an awesome homemade tiramisu for dessert. I had a Sam Adams cherry wheat beer and my wife had a flight of three (2 oz. pours) white wines that she chose. Presented in a vertical glass holder (very cool). Waitress, Michelle, was very nice. Check it out!”

“Absolutely delicious. Service was fast and friendly. Food came out extremely quickly and was very hot and obviously all of the vegetables were fresh and cut right before being put into our dishes. The decor is gorgeous inside and the doors to get inside are ornate and let you know you're in for an experience. Everything was clean and again the staff was awesome. I don't think I've ever had an easier or quicker experience at a nice sit down restaurant.
