Only thing I would like to see changed is their use of styrofoam drink cups. I understand that they cost less but drink prices should be able to cover an extra 5 cents. “We took two of our grandchildren there the other day and was very impressed. The owner was right on top of things and made sure everything went smoothly which of course it did. Food is absolutely delicious. They make their own ice cream which my husband loves because it was very smooth and not too sweet. He had the banana split. One of the best places we have Visited. “I am only rating the country club based on the wedding aspect. My husband and I just got married a little over a week ago. The venue was beautiful as well as the food tasted very good. It was difficult to have a wedding during a pandemic. About a year and a half ago we selected Ridgemont as the venue for our wedding. The wedding planner that came with our package was going to be out on maternity leave for a few months before our wedding. Mostly, my husband and I were in communication with the head of the banquet and food service. He was incredible whenever we called or had any questions. He was always there to help out any way that he could. When the wedding planner came back from maternity leave we had about 12 days with her as our wedding planner. We had our rehearsal at the venue the night before the wedding. We discussed with her that the person marrying us has never married anyone before and we were his first wedding. We asked that she would help run the rehearsal as it was part of her job. All of the wedding party and family showed up and the wedding planner just stood there and did nothing. I THE BRIDE had to run my own rehearsal and tell people when they should walk. It truly was embarrassing, as well as added a lot of stress to my plate that I did not need. The morning of the wedding the wedding planner only took us to our bridal suite and then we did not see anymore of her until I was about to walk down the aisle. Mind you we arrived at 10 am and the ceremony started at 4 pm. I understand that she was down helping set some stuff up along with some of my family, but 6 hours not seeing her or asking us if we need anything...really? The ceremony started and she came to get my dad and I and put us in a closed off coat closet with no air conditioning, when we easily could have waited in the governors room. Later on in the night, my husband told me that when guests were being seated, the staff was squeegeeing the windows. That is absolutely unheard of. They had all morning to do so, but they chose to do that when our guests were arriving to our wedding ceremony. The ceremony began and once again she just stood there.. did absolutely nothing. No one was told when they should walk, as well as my father and I. At the reception, the wedding planner kept making us feel so rushed with taking our pictures, even though we always stayed within our time set aside for pictures...? All I have to say is if you want to run your own wedding ceremony then choose Ridgemont Country Club.”
