“Delicious Asian (American style) take-out. We needed a break from Italian and bar fare so tried Merry Land and wasn’t disappointed! Even at 10pm the food was cooked fresh to order and the staff very friendly. We ordered cold sesame noodles, butterfly bacon shrimp and crispy orange beef. Since our bill was over $42 we had a nice surprise of a complimentary choice of crab rangoon, dumplings or pork fried rice. Went with dumplings and my gosh, what a serving, 7 plump and juicy dumplings. All in all a tasty last vacation meal with leftovers for plane ride home!”

“Have been there 3 times in like the last 2 months. And each time we haven’t been disappointed. The food is absolutely amazing!!! We have always gone with friends and have done family style so we get to try different things. The potions are huge and I meant HUGE!!! And drinks are fantastic. Staff is attentive and friendly. “Hidden gem! Hard to get a seat since they are always slammed, call during business hours for a reservation. Steve the bartender is a wizard, best cocktails around. Menu changes daily, food is amazing, creative, cutting edge and always super fresh. Service is top notch, setting is intimate and welcoming. Try and get a seating for their special wine/dinner nights. Truly is a special experience. Oh and they have a selection of east coast oysters!”

The store is also a convenient store, perfect for picking up bongs, beers, and bowls of rice. Warning: Do not put the red sauce in your eyes, it stings like hell. “Long Beach Diner is transforming into a Greek restaurant. They still serve breakfast, and burgers but they have a new chef from Greece. We haven't had a Greek restaurant in Long Beach for many years, and it is great addition. The food is very authentic and well prepared. Everything is freshly made and nothing is frozen, so sometimes they may run out of some of the more popular dishes. The portions are huge and the price quite reasonable. The moussaka is a unique take on a Greek classic, more like a pie than the usual slice of pan baked. Real eggplant with a fabulous béchamel sauce. We have been 3 times in the last 3 weeks and plan to be regulars. Give yourself a treat and try their Greek menu.”

Of course, the highlight is the food! Who Shot Cyrus? was delicious, and so was the chicken cheesesteak. Don't skip the sides; the garlic parmesan fries are perfect. There's a large menu, including burgers, with a lot of customization options, so make sure to look at everything. Price is 100% reasonable for what you get. “The physical building has housed a number of restaurants and when this one opened, we sort of ignored it. Mistake - this was far better than most of it's predecessors. The atmosphere is welcoming. People have smiles on their faces, the bar tenders pour with a free hand and the food is very good. Loved the Brussels Sprouts. The sauces on everything we had were different and all good. The prices were just fine given the quality of the meal. We will be back.”

“Wow! Where do I start? I was totally floored by Baldoria. I heard a lot of great things prior to going there and let me tell you, I was not disappointed. All of the food was DELICIOUS and right on point. The service was impeccable, which is huge in my world and I am sure, very important to others as well. The veal was top notch, the gnocchi was insanely great and the steak was just magnificent to say the least. This is definitely the new "hot spot". If you want to impress somebody, make a reservation now and take them there. A definite 2 THUMBS UP. Looking forward to my next visit there. I am calling them up today...I suggest that you do the same.”
