So thrilled the team at Hudson & Charles decided to open their own restaurant. Quality of their products are second to none, and the food/drink/service here are at the same standard.

An absolute home run. Was ecstatic to hear that the best butcher in NYC was opening a restaurant next door. The food is sensational, the quality amazing, and the service awesome. Their head chef, Mitchell, knocks it out of the park. Perfect steak (and well priced at $32), a burger that will rival any of the very best in the city, and the chicken wings are unlike you’ve ever had. I believe they’re confit in some magic potion for days before being thrown on the grill. Great service (thanks Max!), delicious and unique wines, and the desert will end a perfect meal. We had an insane chocolate mint pie and apple butterscotch pie. Food coma ensued. We got word that the team running the kitchen is formerly from Collichio & Sons (an old favorite, and 3 star NYT spot). Makes sense. Welcome to the West Village, we cant wait to come back!

Best new restaurant in the west village, maybe all of downtown manhattan. Can’t get better meat from a more well sourced butcher. Great vibe, very relaxed, but extremely well taken care of while there. And great cocktails. I highly recommend this place...they are winning in every category. GO

Ate here on opening night. Every dish was innovative and delicious. I’ve already recommended it to a few friends. What a lovely addition to the neighborhood ! Must try the chicharonnes, they were SPECTACULAR.
