“I had a taste for Jamaican food so I decided to go here. The food was delicious, & the price for the food was affordable everything about the food was simply everything. I came back a 2nd time to get another plate but they ran out of Mac & Cheese so I didn’t buy anything they need to keep extra Mac & Cheese. I will be coming back again. # FOOD IS SO SO DELICIOUS”

“After reading all good reviews, I wanted to give it a try this place. Tiny space with limited tables. We order bunch of Korean foods, everything taste good and authentic. But I don’t know if this place is bar or the restaurant. The atmosphere here was very weird and confused me if I am here for dinner or drink. Customers there were mostly over 50-60’s (no offense for sure) with background of 1980’s Korean songs also with bright light.. I wish if they care about the place decorated or deem the light or something.”

“Food was rlly good, but they gotta improve on the wait times. You could order a single burger and it'll probably take 40 minutes.”

“I had such a wonderful experience at RyRy’s kitchen. The customer service was immaculate. I had the jerk chicken with the rice and peas, with oxtail gravy, and let me tell ya, they did not shy away from the gravy. I also had the Mac and cheese balls. Also had the jerk empanadas. All so good. My one complaint, and this isn’t their fault, is that the building is so hot in the summer, there’s no air conditioning so it interrupts the culinary experience a bit. However; I’ll be back.”

“I like this place a lot. I go about twice per week for the lunch specials. The location is clean; food is cooked very healthy it's not greasy nor overly seasoned. The food is so good. Patrick is the cook and besides being a great person he is truly passionate about cooking. I refer my coworkers to them. The lunch special is just $7 which includes rice and peas, sweet plantain, choice of meats, and bottle of water or can of soda.”

“Everyone that lives or works in Jamaica Queens knows that there are no Italian restaurants in this area. Well that has finally changed! Located inside the Jamaica market a new restaurant has emerged and it is called Bella LuLu’s. Italian food made deliciously. This little place has the full italian menu including lots of seafood, pastas and freshly made desserts. They also prepare healthy choices including a full line of sandwiches and fresh salads. The owner Karen told me to try the pasta purses and they were so good. Served in a delicious cream sauce I did not have enough bread so I had to use a spoon to get every drop. I also tried the peanut butter mousse cup and that was incredible. Bella LuLu’s is a great addition to Jamaica Queens. Come and try it!”

“I found out about this restaurant, The Mandoo, from a Facebook group that I follow. And since I love dumplings, I decided to bookmark them and made plans to go the next day to check them out. This restaurant is a mix of Korean and Chinese since the owners are Korean but hail from China. Obviously, they specialize in dumplings (hence the name), but the menu offers other items like ramen and spicy cucumbers, just to name a few. They are located on busy Northern Blvd, next to the parking lot of the big supermarket. The restaurant inside is super cute, very clean, with plenty of tables, and bar seating on one side. We ordered soup dumplings, pan fried pork buns, snowflake dumplings and popcorn chicken. The soup dumplings were thin skinned with a light broth. Not as flavorful as I’m used to but tasty nonetheless and felt more like homestyle cooking. The pan-fried pork buns were delicious. The bread was fluffy and pillowy while the filling was very juicy, almost like a soup dumpling. It was so good and at six pieces per order, was very filling. The snowflake dumplings were packed with pork, scallions, and leeks. These were pan fried and came with excellent dipping sauce. The popcorn chicken was deep fried with pieces of basil. This is where you clearly saw the Chinese influence in the menu. It tasted very good, but I thought it could have used some more heat/spice. The pumpkin cakes were deep fried and tab bit oily. These are best eaten as soon as possible. The ladies working the day we went were so incredibly nice. It was so sweet of them to also include in our order some complimentary Kkwabaegi or twisted Korean donuts as well as two pieces of chive and egg mandoo. I didn’t even see these items on the menu, so it was a really nice surprise.”

“My Korean friend took me here because she knows I love Korean BBQ. You know this place is legit when you’re the only white guy surrounded by Koreans. Wow! Was so impressed by the food and service. I like that the waitress placed the cooked pieces in foil by the side so they don’t burn or get cold. If you like quality meat and delicious abundant side dishes, this is the place for you. Way better than most of the other Korean places in Flushing/Murray Hill and worth the trek. Located right near the LIRR which is a plus.”

“This place is fairly new and has an aesthetic interior. Its a fusion of korean and italian. They gave us complimentary toast with whipped cream before we placed our orders, which tasted pretty good. They toast was warm and the whipped cream was airy and light. The spicy bulgogi cream pasta seems to be their recommended entrée, so we decided to order it and it was super flavorful and had a small kick to it. We also ordered the fried mandoo (soy garlic) and Risotto with rose shrimp. The sauce they used for the risotto did not stand out as much. Tasted similar to tomato based sauce and it became heavy after a few bites. The drinks they have are definitely more for pictures and the gram’. They look pretty, but were super duper sweet!”

“Went here at the beginning of summer and took some notes for my review. For starters, if you're familiar with this past location, you'll know that it used to be John's Pizza which had $1 cheese slices and was a popular place for kids to come after school as it is directly across the street from P.S. 100 and a few blocks down from M.S. 226 and the food was well-priced. Unfortunately, if you liked the particular style of food and prices at John's Pizza, you won't be getting that here. Obviously times have changed, and prices everywhere have increased, but even with this in mind, the prices are still higher than they should be. In many places in Brooklyn and Manhattan you can still get $1 slices, but here, their slices are $3. In fact, they may have raised their prices even more since I've been there a few months ago because I saw that they had old prices crossed out on their printed signs and so I'm assuming their website might not be up to date either. As for actual table service, it was pretty good. There were only two people there when I went, an older man and a young man who looked about 17 or so. Food took a while to come out, but for a small business with only two employees on a weekday evening, I can excuse a longer than normal wait time. In terms of food, the buffalo wings were great. They had a nice crispiness factor, a bit of classic Buffalo spiciness, and were actually sauced adequately. Was definitely surprised by their quality. They came with an ample supply of blue cheese which is always welcome, but no carrots or celery. The garlic knots were also very good and came with marinara sauce. However, if you come to Lefferts PIZZA And Grill, I'm assuming you want to know what the pizza is like. While the pizza was not the worst pizza, it definitely needs improvement. It was styled more like the pizza from a Chuck E. Cheese with a mountain of cheese all over it to the point where every slice was not only heavy, but soggy as well. As much as I love cheese, this was not the way to make a proper New York slice and given that this location used to make great pizza when it was John's, I was a little disappointed. Also, something completely random that I thought was cool was that I found sparkling green tea ginger ale in their drinks refrigerator! I only ever saw these one other place so it was a pleasant surprise to find a drink here that I really love (but maybe don't go all the way here just for this drink because they might not even sell it anymore). Overall, definitely not a bad eating establishment, but they could use some improvement with pricing and the way they make their pizzas to make eating here regularly worth it.”

“Affordable family meal deal. $28 for 3 dishes and a soup. Additional dish $9. Each dish is small. Only the fish dish and soup were tasty. The rest is kind of bland. We ordered takeout: clam and tofu soup, salt and pepper ribs, cauliflower with squid, fish with brown sauce and chicken and basil.”

“I ordered the salad bowl with the beef and lamb, as well as the guacamole and chips, and they were amazing. The food was fantastic, and very authentic (I like how they have a big sign, "NO, WE DO NOT HAVE HUMMUS.) All in all, a great new go-to on Main St.”

“Seems like this place has just opened🫣.I believe customer service is key to success business, this place definitely shows it all. We ordered four different pots, all of them were not too salty. (That’s a plus). The seafoods were very fresh and we were able to request multiple refills. Free sodas that customers can grab themselves. The server was extremely kind and check back to ensure everything’s good from time to time. Out of the many hotpot places I have been to, this one is now one of my favs! 😉”
