“Glad we weren't deterred by the surrounding scrap facility - at first glance it looked like the beginning of a classic horror movie lol. The establishment itself has a great outdoor space with pavilion, seating, several corn hole boards, and fenced in grass area. Drinks- a dozen or so craft beers on tap, many from NY breweries. We opted for two different beers from nearby In Law Brewing while waiting for our to go order. Food- the only regret was not getting an order of bone-in wings. Several diners around us ordered heaping plates and made us question going boneless. Still delicious - spicy garlic aioli and mango habanero sauces were on point (and amazing blue cheese!). Chicken quesadilla, bacon cheeseburger, fries, and fried chicken sandwich were fresh and good sized. Highlight- salt & vinegar tots. I would drive the two hours to get those again.”

“We were Driving away from the Potsdam food doldrums, with it’s generally poor Service, when we stumbled upon a golden nugget. Although it might be out of sight (it’s not on Main Street next to a campus) but it i should never be out of mind. The timber tavern has great American food. It is worth the short drive, awesome drink specials, great apps, and of course, the attentive and out going service staff made for an unmatched food experience. We never meet the comic genius behind the menu but we enjoyed the diner and show, read the menu closely. We will return to have a cowboy burger with a beer and lament over Zek Elliot ruining my fantasy pool too.”
