However, they're getting 4 stars since the sandwiches were solid - not skimpy in the least. Salads were also fresh. “Just opened up!!!!! 5 star food 5 star ambiance 5 star menu 3.5 star service Exec Chef/Owner Steve Del Lima rises to the occasion by delivering all star flavors and food. We had an amazing meal. Service was slow to get started but in the end people were friendly and accommodating. They are literally days old so there is bound to be some kinks to work out. Don’t worry my friend Steve will make it happen. We had the clams appetizer in an amazing broth, meat and cheese platter along with a ribeye and lamp chops. You won’t be disappointed.”

Staff is inconsistent, some are knowing but others can't even make coffee. Even though they are open until 8 we have been told we can't eat in even though we ordered before. “We went here for a quick burger to eat before seeing a movie. We let our waitress know we were going to see a movie and she made sure to tell us the most popular burgers they had there since it was our first time. She did a great job getting our orders in fast and getting all our food to us asap. The food came out great and the waitress brought us everything we needed without us even having to ask. Perfect timing on everything. The deserts looked to die for but we didn't have time (or space in our stomachs) to order any. Definitely will go back soon. If you like sweet things don't forget to ask for the marshmallow sauce.”

“White Castle.... As a human living in NY, especially having grown up in Commack, I have to return to White Castle once every ten years or so or I will not be able to renew my status. The place really hasn't changed since the 80s, but I remember the "food" tasted better back then. May have had something to do with being a teenager who consumed everything. Still, worth a nostalgia stop now and again for a belly bomb.”

“I thought the pastrami at Sarge's Deli on 3rd in Manhattan was good. But not as good as this 40-year-old kosher deli in Commack. The rye bread held together well, the hot, thinly sliced pastrami... freshly made. The rye bread did not fall apart like at other delis. My cup of split pea soup was deeply satisfying, fully flavored; you don't see this on menus. My husband's chicken in a pot soup w/Matzoh Ball was a fully loaded chicken noodle soup, served piping hot & full of flavor that comes from days of simmering. We also enjoyed the potato pancakes with applesauce. Potato pancakes looked like fried bone-in chicken breasts. And the applesauce was homemade as well, not sickeningly sweet, but light & addictive. Definitely will come back. Not cheap but a nice customer behind me gave us a few coupons.”
