Léon 1909

This was our first time dining at Leon and it was exceptional. We were immediately greeted and led to our table. As you enter you will hear the crackling wood of the indoor open hearth cooking area which is quite unique and adds to it's understated elegance . Your first vibe of Leon is that this is an inviting, warm and relaxed eatery, a place you want to come back to. Service was attentive and the food was extremely tasty and well prepared. This was a unique dining experience and considering that Leon has only been open for a month or so, they have hit it out of the park! My wife and I can't wait to return. Great job.

There aren’t enough superlatives to describe how wonderful Léon 1909 truly is. The place is spectacular, the open kitchen is magnificent and the sights and smells of the fire cooking everything is intoxicating. The food was incredible, I kept thinking “this can’t get any better” and then it did. Wonderful people, Paul was outstanding behind the bar and made us feel like old friends. What a special place, we can’t wait to come back!

A fabulous new addition to the Shelter Island dining scene! The modest wine list is the best on the Island and the service was great. The open hearth kitchen is bustling with activity and the show is worth the price of entry.

The short comings included an overdressed salad, and a fire roasted clams and sausage that was unacceptably salty. While I could look past the salad, the clams knocked it down a star.

Amazing new restaurant on Shelter Island. Food is to die for and every course was amazing. Can’t wait to return year round. The cocktail list is also 5 star to match the food. Will be back!

Just an incredible dining experience. From the champagne to the custom cocktails and each beautifully plated and delicious course, I loved every aspect of being at Leon 1909! Best restaurant in Shelter island and out east!
