“Ordered Turkey, Leg of Lamb and Appetizer for Easter 2020. Everything was absolutely scrumptious!! Carolyn, Chef Tom, Samantha and David all worked their butts off to pull off 400+ orders for this special day. Kudos to this fabulous TEAM!”

“Regular shopping day but made so much more than that by several wonderful employees! Stopped at Sammy’s sandwiches and Kayla’s enthusiasm was above and beyond! Loved how she greeted us, described the sandwiches and served us with attention and detail. Then we went to the pulled pork/chicken station and again greeted by several employees and helped with such kindness. To end it all off, Bridgette ( I’m pretty sure that was her name!) checked us out with another employee bagging and we had a chance to laugh together and truly enjoy our experience. Thank you Lowe’s for making shopping fun!!”

“My husband and I had lunch at this cute restaurant. Staff is super friendly, decor is very cute and food is yummy! Great little spot to eat inside or outside. I had the “nit your mama’s BLT”. Bacon was crispy and the tomato was a yummy fried green tomato❤️”

“For a restaurant that has not been opened long the service has went down fast. They are not keeping condiments and everything stocked in the lobby. The last 2 times I have been either a drink machine or the ketchup dispenser was empty.”

“We really enjoyed our experience and the food here. The Cajun seasoning was delicious and should be a must try if you visit. Our only negative, although the service was friendly and professional, it did take sometime for us to get our checks. I highly recommend.”

“My aunt introduced me to this place and I'm so glad she did. If I lived anywhere nearby this would be a go-to place for sure. The food was perfect and reasonably priced. The staff was so friendly it felt like a family cook out. And, as a boy from the desert, seeing boats come and go from the docks attached to the patio was so much fun. 5 stars for sure and I will hopefully return.”

“Had lunch here before leaving for RDU. Great atmosphere and service. Mike was especially helpful and was glad to answer questions. Our server Andrea was cheerful and efficient. The small Caesars Salad was perfect. I had the Calabash Platter and only the flounder was a bit disappointing. My wife's dinner salad was excellent.”

“Loved this place! We stumbled on it quite by accident and will definitely return. The service was professional, yet friendly and welcoming. We sat right down at the edge of the water and watched the birds and boats while we ate. The prices were reasonable for water front dining, and totally worth it! It was delicious...well prepared and presented. It is very family friendly as well as pet friendly. There is a lot of outdoor options and even when it is hot, you're shaded and there are fans running. Wonderful treasure!”

“This was a great little stop that is a must! The peach ice cream was to die for, but it was the staff that made the experience unforgettable! They were so nice and we had such a fun conversation. They also introduced us to the delicious Cherry Lemon Sundrop soda! If you have a few minutes, take the time to stop in here and grab a hot dog and some delicious home made ice cream!!”

“The steam pot was amazing!! (Only thing I did not care for was crawfish but that is likely just personal preference.) Friendly service. Small place but the service was pretty quick so tables turned over. Wings were also good, as was the scallop appetizer. We would definitely return!”

“Their menu was a little small but what I had was good. They have sandwiches and burgers. The space is a little small and the meals are well priced for a restaurant. When I went it was packed but we got seats pretty fast. I would recommend four or less people at a time because they only have four person tables and a five seat bar.”

“So excited that Sushi is back! We came in late with a party of 5 big eaters.... asked for the big sushi boat and were blown away by the quality, presentation, and friendliness of the staff. Wife spent some time to Thailand in school and always orders "Thai Spicy". They were a little leery at first, but once she started speaking some Thai to them they hit her with both barrels! And she wasn't disappointed - Thai Spicy it was!!! Love the soups, the curry, and especially the Sushi! Great local people and the best Sushi on the coast! Thanks Thai Peppers for the awesome job!”

“My wife and I came for dinner. Excellent menu. We shared an appetizer - fried green tomatoes. It was very good. We had cocktails that were well balanced, refreshing. Salads were light and fresh. For dinner, I had the daily fish special while my wife had a lobster risotto. Both very good. We shared dessert. Overall, food was excellent. The pace of the meal was great as well - leisurely which is what we wanted. Our server, Dana, was excellent! Highly recommend.”

“Great little spot. Clean, high quality ingredients. My bagel was certainly one of the best I've had anywhere. The environment was friendly along with the employees. They have a little art shop with art from local artists that is really neat. Service was great and it was an overall awesome experience. Great coffee and bagels. Can't wait to go back to try more items.”

“If you want great food at a great price this is for you! I mean I try to go here every weekend to try something new when I can, (they do close a little early) because everything ive tried so far has been fantastic. Wait time is minimal as they get your food out fast and everything is fresh. I'm not a salad guy but their side salad was so good I ate it all which I never do. Try there chicken club, you wont regret it!”

“Food was great ,with the exception of the appetizer who serves tortilla chips with crab dip? ... the service in the other hand was extremely lacking... our table of three only had one visit from waitstaff while we were dining.. 2 of us sat there with empty drink for a majority of our meal. After a couple of failed attempts to flag the waitress down we gave up.. how hard is it for 3 waitstaff to take care of 14 tables? Our server walked by our table 13 separate times without a glance to see if we needed anything. To bad with such great food I wont be back.. if you wonder why your tip was $5 on an $85 bill now you know.. everytime you walked by you lost $..”

“WOW! I hosted the rehearsal dinner for my wedding at the Live Oak Cafe and the food really blew my socks off! The shrimp and grits were simply the best I have ever had, the steak was cooked to perfection, the pesto chicken pasta was to die for, and overall everything was delicious. I would say there was not one miss. Add that to the intimate atmosphere of a private party in a beautiful home converted to a restaurant space and it was fantastic. Sean is an excellent chef and I would recommend his food for any occasion!”

“A very popular local eatery. Food & prices are very good. Fast and courteous service. We will be going back. My wife had the blackened tuna which was amazing. Cooked and seasoned to perfection. I had the Fish & Chips and it was very good. Served with homemade potato chips and really good ranch dressing. A friendly place. If you have to wait for a table, it’s worth it.”

“I cook some of the best ribs you could eat. Having said that, these ribs were pretty good. The brisket was good, we weren't a big fan of the chicken. The potato salad and Cole slaw are about the best you'll find anywhere. Oh yeah, the staff was about as friendly as you could ever imagine. I'm glad we stopped and you will be too.”

“Have had drinks and meals here quite a few times. Delicious food! Nice cocktails. Comfortable private dining room for 8. Decorated nice at Christmas. Great staff, friendly, professional as should be for a fine dining establishment. Nice place for evening meal and special occasion meals. Inside is nice, bit crowded space. Last night's meal was outside on deck. A less formal meal for us, our choosing. Nice breeze, no bugs. Great waitress. Wonderful fresh squares of bread, salads with entrees, many specials, regular entrees and desserts to choose from. Outside we enjoyed the Marina, water and boat views. Had family with me. First time for them eating at Joseph's and they really enjoyed it, as well. Can not go wrong taking anyone here, except kids! Leave young children at home for this place so all will enjoy their time out!”
