“I eat here often. It's really inexpensive, healthy, and quick. Today was a Spicy Italian. On a 9 grain whole wheat bun, with 6 slices of pepperoni, 6 slices of salami, and 2 slices of pepper jack cheese. Toasted. Added baby spinach, tomatoes, onions and banana peppers. Then sweet onion sauce and chipotle mayo. $4.15. 6" sub. Took 20 minutes from entering to finished eating.”

“My family and I recently moved to Southport a few months ago, and it wasn't until I moved here that I first tried Papa John's; boy was I missing out. I've tried just about all the other fast food pizza joints, and I must say, Papa John's is probably my new favorite. The ingredients always taste fresh, prices are reasonable, and orders typically only take 15-20 minutes to complete (sometimes even sooner). The only criticism I have is that I wish they offered flavored crust. Regardless, the pizza is delicious!”

“Really enjoyed eating here. They were super busy when we went, which we thought was a good sign and meant we made a good choice. The waiter was friendly and the food came fairly quick for how busy they were. I had a hard time deciding what I wanted to eat because everything looked so good. I ended up choosing the California burrito. I was not disappointed. So delicious. I plan on going back before my vacation ends.”

“Small bar with a local feel. The place was half full when we arrived on a Thursday night at 5:00 but filled up within 30 minutes or so. Waitress took at least 15 minutes to get to our table, then was very "short" with us while taking our order. Ordered the fish and chips, which was very good. Hubby had wings, which were on special. He liked them. It amazes me how some places stay afloat with rude staff. Plenty of other places that treat customers well with comparable food so we probably won't return.”

“My family and I stopped in for dinner, however their fryer was down. We ordered drinks while looking over their modified menu. We decided to go somewhere else only due to limited choices for children on their modified menu. Kimberly our waitress was extremely polite and accommodating. “Amazing Thai food! We ordered take out from this Thai restaurant, and it was authentic and delicious. The flavors in the food were amazing and it was cooked fresh, to order. The owner was nice and worked as quickly as she could. On this evening, she was only accepting take out orders (must not have had the staff to open the restaurant). We later learned the woman owner has been through a personal tragedy and is trying to keep the restaurant going with the overwhelming orders (due to how good the food is). So, if you want some great Thai food, either be patient or order early in the evening. We ordered pad thais with chicken, sweet and sour chicken (it's not breaded), and chicken fried rice. We made quick work of the food, it was SO GOOD! Highly recommended and plan to eat there twice this week.”

“I love, love this place!!! So far everything that I tried on the menu, during my various visits there to eat, has been great! My favorites are the Baja tacos, BELT sandwich, crab cake sandwich, and if you can get it on Sunday brunch, the infamous french toast with plantains and homemade rum syrup!!! To die for!!! You can sit inside or outside! The atmosphere is great and the staff are friendly and attentive!”

“I love this place! I am an iced coffee fanatic, but not all iced coffees are made equally. The drinks I got at Island Jo were FANTASTIC and really hit the spot. They have so much variety. The coffee is smooth and not too sweet or too bitter. It's how coffee SHOULD be. My breakfast sandwiches were amazing too. I took some egg, bacon, and cheese bagel sandwiches back to our vacation spot and my parents who grew up on Philadelphia delis were really impressed as well and said they were excellent. Likewise, my husband said their "rye was amazing and perfectly toasted". The service we had was great. You can't ask for more than friendly, personable, and quick. I'd go here everyday if I lived in Oak Island.”

“This establishment was very clean and the service was excellent. I went there with my sister and brother in law and we enjoyed ourselves. There crab dip was awesome as was the grouper sandwich I had. “I visited this restaurant on our last beach trip with my husband. We came in around 8:45 and they were very busy. Because it was only the two of us we were seated quickly! How lucky for us! It was a long wait to get our food but we did not mind. They were busy so we enjoyed the atmosphere and our conversation. The food was very good. Our server was friendly and attentive. I enjoyed my visit. We tried to eat there again on Friday night after the Rivermist concert in the park but we were turned away. We got there before 9:00 and they close at 9:30. That was disappointing. Just go early.”
