“Regular shopping day but made so much more than that by several wonderful employees! Stopped at Sammy’s sandwiches and Kayla’s enthusiasm was above and beyond! Loved how she greeted us, described the sandwiches and served us with attention and detail. Then we went to the pulled pork/chicken station and again greeted by several employees and helped with such kindness. To end it all off, Bridgette ( I’m pretty sure that was her name!) checked us out with another employee bagging and we had a chance to laugh together and truly enjoy our experience. Thank you Lowe’s for making shopping fun!!”

Shoals Club

Bald Head Island Club

Address: 301 S Bald Head Wynd, Bald Head Island, NC 28461, USA

Restaurant

“The Grille: Although we ate in the Palms, the food came from the grill. The crab bisque was flavorful with chunks of crab and just enough of a sherry drizzle on top. Yum! The jewels of the sea dish a bit on the small side;however, id rather have a flavorful dish than a filling one and this one big on flavor. Only complaint was there were only two small pieces of crab. My husband enjoyed his as well- flavorful, moist short rib and grits. Service attentive. Club: great pools and activities. Attentive bar tenders, friendly staff. Enjoyed throughly!”

Mo Jo's

“Very nice place. Fish tacos were wonderful”

Honey's BBQ

Address: 8 Marina Wynd, Bald Head Island, NC 28461, USA

Restaurant

“The brisket and mac and cheese were very good. Also liked the cornbread. The pork BBQ was not my favorite, and the cole slaw was not very flavorful. Friendly staff! The smell from the nearby dumpster makes standing there to order difficult, but there is not really anything they can do about that. Liked both BBQ sauces (ketchup and vinegar based).”

Delphina

Address: 8 Marina Wynd, Bald Head Island, NC 28461, USA

Restaurant

“Great, fresh food with flavorful and healthy twists. Helps to be right on the harbor for ingredient deliveries - you are on an island. All-in-all, pretty fair price for the meal. Very friendly staff and plenty of golf cart parking. We used the ramp for a wheelchair. Seafood to Mexican, you'll find it here.”

Mojo's on the Harbor

Address: 10 Marina Wynd, Bald Head Island, NC 28461, USA

Restaurant

“Excellent food. The food was the best of the "public" places on the island (we did not get club memberships). The view is great. The server was courteous and attentive. The hushpuppies were a great appetizer. My son got the peel and eat shrimp and it was well seasoned. The kids mac and cheese my daughter got was great. And my fried flounder and sweet potato fries were also very good. The drinks all looked fabulous, but I stuck to water. Yes, this place is expensive, but it was not above what I was expecting on the island. Would come back!”

Frying Pan

Address: 319 W Bay St, Southport, NC 28461, USA

“We really enjoyed our experience and the food here. The Cajun seasoning was delicious and should be a must try if you visit. Our only negative, although the service was friendly and professional, it did take sometime for us to get our checks. I highly recommend.”

Provision Company

Address: 130 Yacht Basin Dr, Southport, NC 28461, USA

Restaurant

“My aunt introduced me to this place and I'm so glad she did. If I lived anywhere nearby this would be a go-to place for sure. The food was perfect and reasonably priced. The staff was so friendly it felt like a family cook out. And, as a boy from the desert, seeing boats come and go from the docks attached to the patio was so much fun. 5 stars for sure and I will hopefully return.”

Oliver's on the Cape Fear

Address: 101 W Bay St, Southport, NC 28461, USA

Restaurant

“Had lunch here before leaving for RDU. Great atmosphere and service. Mike was especially helpful and was glad to answer questions. Our server Andrea was cheerful and efficient. The small Caesars Salad was perfect. I had the Calabash Platter and only the flounder was a bit disappointing. My wife's dinner salad was excellent.”

Fishy Fishy Cafe

Address: 106 Yacht Basin Dr, Southport, NC 28461, USA

Restaurant

“Loved this place! We stumbled on it quite by accident and will definitely return. The service was professional, yet friendly and welcoming. We sat right down at the edge of the water and watched the birds and boats while we ate. The prices were reasonable for water front dining, and totally worth it! It was delicious...well prepared and presented. It is very family friendly as well as pet friendly. There is a lot of outdoor options and even when it is hot, you're shaded and there are fans running. Wonderful treasure!”

Trolly Stop

“This was a great little stop that is a must! The peach ice cream was to die for, but it was the staff that made the experience unforgettable! They were so nice and we had such a fun conversation. They also introduced us to the delicious Cherry Lemon Sundrop soda! If you have a few minutes, take the time to stop in here and grab a hot dog and some delicious home made ice cream!!”

Moore Street Oyster Bar

Address: 110 E Moore St, Southport, NC 28461, USA

Restaurant

“The steam pot was amazing!! (Only thing I did not care for was crawfish but that is likely just personal preference.) Friendly service. Small place but the service was pretty quick so tables turned over. Wings were also good, as was the scallop appetizer. We would definitely return!”

Blue Cow Grille

Address: 108 E Moore St, Southport, NC 28461, USA

Restaurant

“Their menu was a little small but what I had was good. They have sandwiches and burgers. The space is a little small and the meals are well priced for a restaurant. When I went it was packed but we got seats pretty fast. I would recommend four or less people at a time because they only have four person tables and a five seat bar.”

Thai Peppers

Address: 115 E Moore St, Southport, NC 28461, USA

Restaurant

“So excited that Sushi is back! We came in late with a party of 5 big eaters.... asked for the big sushi boat and were blown away by the quality, presentation, and friendliness of the staff. Wife spent some time to Thailand in school and always orders "Thai Spicy". They were a little leery at first, but once she started speaking some Thai to them they hit her with both barrels! And she wasn't disappointed - Thai Spicy it was!!! Love the soups, the curry, and especially the Sushi! Great local people and the best Sushi on the coast! Thanks Thai Peppers for the awesome job!”

Ports of Call

Address: 116 N Howe St, Southport, NC 28461, USA

“My wife and I came for dinner. Excellent menu. We shared an appetizer - fried green tomatoes. It was very good. We had cocktails that were well balanced, refreshing. Salads were light and fresh. For dinner, I had the daily fish special while my wife had a lobster risotto. Both very good. We shared dessert. Overall, food was excellent. The pace of the meal was great as well - leisurely which is what we wanted. Our server, Dana, was excellent! Highly recommend.”

“Great little spot. Clean, high quality ingredients. My bagel was certainly one of the best I've had anywhere. The environment was friendly along with the employees. They have a little art shop with art from local artists that is really neat. Service was great and it was an overall awesome experience. Great coffee and bagels. Can't wait to go back to try more items.”
