“Regular shopping day but made so much more than that by several wonderful employees! Stopped at Sammy’s sandwiches and Kayla’s enthusiasm was above and beyond! Loved how she greeted us, described the sandwiches and served us with attention and detail. Then we went to the pulled pork/chicken station and again greeted by several employees and helped with such kindness. To end it all off, Bridgette ( I’m pretty sure that was her name!) checked us out with another employee bagging and we had a chance to laugh together and truly enjoy our experience. “The Grille: Although we ate in the Palms, the food came from the grill. The crab bisque was flavorful with chunks of crab and just enough of a sherry drizzle on top. Yum! The jewels of the sea dish a bit on the small side;however, id rather have a flavorful dish than a filling one and this one big on flavor. Only complaint was there were only two small pieces of crab. My husband enjoyed his as well- flavorful, moist short rib and grits. Service attentive. Club: great pools and activities. Attentive bar tenders, friendly staff. Enjoyed throughly!”

“The brisket and mac and cheese were very good. Also liked the cornbread. The pork BBQ was not my favorite, and the cole slaw was not very flavorful. Friendly staff! The smell from the nearby dumpster makes standing there to order difficult, but there is not really anything they can do about that. Liked both BBQ sauces (ketchup and vinegar based).”

“Excellent food. The food was the best of the "public" places on the island (we did not get club memberships). The view is great. The server was courteous and attentive. The hushpuppies were a great appetizer. My son got the peel and eat shrimp and it was well seasoned. The kids mac and cheese my daughter got was great. And my fried flounder and sweet potato fries were also very good. The drinks all looked fabulous, but I stuck to water. Yes, this place is expensive, but it was not above what I was expecting on the island. Would come back!”

“My aunt introduced me to this place and I'm so glad she did. If I lived anywhere nearby this would be a go-to place for sure. The food was perfect and reasonably priced. The staff was so friendly it felt like a family cook out. And, as a boy from the desert, seeing boats come and go from the docks attached to the patio was so much fun. 5 stars for sure and I will hopefully return.”

The small Caesars Salad was perfect. I had the Calabash Platter and only the flounder was a bit disappointing. My wife's dinner salad was excellent.”

“Loved this place! We stumbled on it quite by accident and will definitely return. The service was professional, yet friendly and welcoming. We sat right down at the edge of the water and watched the birds and boats while we ate. The prices were reasonable for water front dining, and totally worth it! It was delicious...well prepared and presented. It is very family friendly as well as pet friendly. There is a lot of outdoor options and even when it is hot, you're shaded and there are fans running. Wonderful treasure!”

“So excited that Sushi is back! We came in late with a party of 5 big eaters.... asked for the big sushi boat and were blown away by the quality, presentation, and friendliness of the staff. Wife spent some time to Thailand in school and always orders "Thai Spicy". They were a little leery at first, but once she started speaking some Thai to them they hit her with both barrels! And she wasn't disappointed - Thai Spicy it was!!! Love the soups, the curry, and especially the Sushi! Great local people and the best Sushi on the coast! Thanks Thai Peppers for the awesome job!”

“My wife and I came for dinner. Excellent menu. We shared an appetizer - fried green tomatoes. It was very good. We had cocktails that were well balanced, refreshing. Salads were light and fresh. For dinner, I had the daily fish special while my wife had a lobster risotto. Both very good. We shared dessert. Overall, food was excellent. The pace of the meal was great as well - leisurely which is what we wanted. Our server, Dana, was excellent! Highly recommend.”
