“I ordered the sweet Italian sausage on Friday and it was fantastic, probably the best in town. I’ve tried the sausage at Whole Foods and Earth Fare and both of those pale in comparison. Ordering online was a little cumbersome but it’s more about learning a new way of doing things than anything else. I’d definitely order the sausage again. I’ve also ordered the whole chicken from them and that was great as well. I really like that they help the local nonprofit Consider Haiti. Happy to support these guys.”

They did an awesome job, even when my order was sandwiched between a couple gigantic orders and a billion mobile orders. Basically, top notch. Only suggestion would be to make it easier to tip when using a credit card. The workers deserve so much!”

“All of the food was amazing. They have an Oyster menu with a few choices both local and northern. The Entrees make the most of high quality ingredients with a few simple flavors that compliment each other perfectly. “Ordered the 12 piece sushi (ngiri) and pork katsu — and to say we were pleasantly surprised would be an understatement. It was proper Japanese style ngiri sushi and each piece was just fantastic. The pork cutlet had a delicious thick cut and incredible homemade katsu sauce. Highly recommend if you want an authentic Japanese taste dining experience.”

“Whit's custard is divine! They offer an array of flavors; every flavor is delicious, but if I had to choose a favorite, it would be the coconut macaroon. Fresh macaroons are embedded throughout the custard, and the actual custard is mouth watering. Any time I have an out of town visitor, I stock up on some Whit's custard to offer my guests. A delightful treat indeed!”

“You have to realize you are paying premium for the local meats butchered on site, which is definitely worth supporting. The food was good but oh so expensive, I felt it really should have blown me away for the price but it did not. The charcuterie board was $18, yet barely enough to share. It was my first visit and I expected to be seated on the attached raised patio I saw in photos but was unpleasantly surprised at the picnic tables sat to the side, but I know COVID seating has changed this all and they are doing the best they can in that aspect. It took us all awhile to decide on wine and food and I think our waitress forgot about us, we were there for 2.5 hours total. The wine and beer list is obviously a draw and everything we had was fantastic and the staff very knowledgeable about the wine and made 2 excellent recommendations. Overall, I would recommend but only myself visit on a rare occasion.”

“We have been waiting for this place to open; my wife being from Jersey- it’s hard to get an authentic cheesesteak. The cheesesteak was good, the rolls were spot on. We were disappointed in the meat and roll ratio. Only half of the roll was filled with meat. So the ending of our cheesesteak was just bread. The meat also had too much pepper. I feel like the price you pay for fries, you could get some more then what was given- but they were good fries. We also had onion rings and they were good. We would probably come back and give it one more try after it’s been open a while.”

“Today was our first visit to Popeye’s and I give it a 5 star because of one of the managers named Dylan and the excellent service he provided after a terrible experience we had in the drive thru line with another customer. Dylan had witnessed the incident and came to my car and asked me to pull in a parking spot and he would get our order and give us the food because of what he saw take place. I thought it was so nice of him to do this for us. He didn’t have to offer such a nice gesture but I really appreciate it! The food was also great! “This Starbucks was very convenient to the airport. We were a couple of hours early to my flight from Asheville regional airport and we decided to stop. The Starbucks is a stone throw away from AVL. The service was great and the coffee was amazing as usual. Maybe even better since we were in the mountains enjoying a hot brew. Only down side would be is leaving out of Starbucks there is a giant hill your car has to climb before pulling out. If there is ice or snow I would recommend to find another way out. It’s that steep of a hill.”

“I never thought I’d review a gas station, but how could I not review Tunnel Road’s Enmarket ?. I was heading to Filo for my early morning coffee run when the gas alert on my car dinged that I have 50 miles until E. As soon as it did I was coming up on Enmarket, and their low gas prices drew me in (lowest I’ve found, and even lower if you get their cash card). I’m writing this review mainly because I appreciate the hand sanitizer descenders on every pump ???. I was wearing gloves but I appreciated their dedication and commitment to the safety of the community. I even got to use the touch less debit card feature that my debit card has for the first time. And while I was pumping I heard an advertisement on the speakers about their skip the line feature of the market which has you use the app and pay through the app for your things, another social distancing and touch less perk. There’s an Enmarket on Merrimon that I have used before, so I will probably start seeking these gas stations out, especially during COVID-19 time, since I know they are taking precautions to help everyone be safe and healthy ?.”
