“We (6 adults and 3 kids) went there on a Saturday around dinner time. The restaurant was empty when we got there but filled up quickly. The portion size was excellent, and food tested very well. You can tell the cooks really care about ingredients and what they're creating. I see some complain about this place not taking large parties. That's one of the best things about Urban kitchen!! A great experience with your food and you don't have giant families with screaming children ruining it for you. If you want top notch food, great service and a cozy atmosphere this is your place. If you want a place that takes large families of 10 plus, go find an outback steakhouse.”

The OBX Seafood Chowder was really good, and the pork chop was the best I’ve ever had and it was cooked to perfection. “Went to this business a few days ago mid afternoon after having a taste for a egg salad bagel. I asked the young lady behind the counter for one and she stated that she thought they were out of egg salad but, if I did not mind waiting, she would be more than happy to make more for me. My response, "yes." Within five minutes, she had my egg salad made, on my toasted wheat toast, bagged and in front of me. Multiple kudos to this place. The service was personable, fast, and friendly. I felt valued after the young lady went out of her way to take care of me. The sandwich was nothing short outstanding! I was extremely happy and will come back every time that I am in the Corolla area!”

“Good for large families with a variety of menu choices for kids and grownups. Our waitress, Ginger, was fantastic making sure drinks were refilled and orders were complete. I personally prefer Texas or Memphis BBQ but did enjoy their pulled pork. The place was packed when we first arrived but they were able to seat our party of ten (from 2 - 57) within 15 minutes. We were looking for a decent place to accommodate our crowd and Sooey’s was good.”
