“Great place. We had a very attentive waitress, Maggie. She kept checking on us, made sure we had what we needed. The OBX Seafood Chowder was really good, and the pork chop was the best I’ve ever had and it was cooked to perfection. “Great service. Good beer selection and clean. Food was exactly what we needed after a long drive from West Virginia. Burgers are thick, juicy and loaded with toppings and bacon. Solid portions. “Probably the best home fries I've had in my life, soft and flavorful on the inside, toasty crunch on the outside. Large, delicious western omelet and a big flaky biscuit. “Went to this business a few days ago mid afternoon after having a taste for a egg salad bagel. I asked the young lady behind the counter for one and she stated that she thought they were out of egg salad but, if I did not mind waiting, she would be more than happy to make more for me. My response, "yes." Within five minutes, she had my egg salad made, on my toasted wheat toast, bagged and in front of me. Multiple kudos to this place. The service was personable, fast, and friendly. I felt valued after the young lady went out of her way to take care of me. The sandwich was nothing short outstanding! I was extremely happy and will come back every time that I am in the Corolla area!”

“Good for large families with a variety of menu choices for kids and grownups. Our waitress, Ginger, was fantastic making sure drinks were refilled and orders were complete. I personally prefer Texas or Memphis BBQ but did enjoy their pulled pork. The place was packed when we first arrived but they were able to seat our party of ten (from 2 - 57) within 15 minutes. We were looking for a decent place to accommodate our crowd and Sooey’s was good.”

“I’ve been down to Corolla several times this summer and the Crafty Cow is a go to meal for us a couple times each visit. Their Black and Blue burger Is the best I have ever had. The cool snap of cucumber slices really sets theirs apart from any other. The sweet Thai chili wings or the off menu Old Bay wings are awesome. Check the daily specials board for something unique as well. I have usually opt for a local craft whit beer draft to chill with. Staff is right on in all interactions. If you want to socialize the bar is a good place to eat, drink and be merry. Inside or outside tables are comfortable for a family/group. This got long but is reflective of the several experiences I have had, you will not be disappointed.”

“It's a decent bar and restaurant. It walks a line between a dive bar and family friendly restaurant. By about 9:30 the families have left and the dive bar feel comes out. They do a great job cleaning as well. The floor is never sticky the way a college bar is keeping the vibe family friendly.”

“The whole seating area is outside on a raised covered deck overlooking the ocean - awesome. The ambiance was wonderful. The food was pretty good. Now for the bad parts. There's a large swimming pool below the covered seating area, blocking part of your view of the ocean. Some of the food was a bit too pricey for the portion and the quality. It wasn't that it was bad, it just didn't match with the cost. Lastly, as it got dark out, the lights overhead attacked a swarm of insects. It got so bad in fact, we had to hurry out of there after we ate. Do with this review what you will.”

“Want some pizza? This place has it. Despite some very angry patrons saying their pizza took over two hours, we had 15 people served in under an hour. Unfortunately, we had to wait about a half hour to be sat because they were slammed with carry out orders, so a half empty dining room sat open at 7pm on Saturday night. Once we sat, a few beers from the bar took longer than the food to be poured, even though the bar was half empty. It was bizarre. The pizza hit the spot - it was pizza. I understand we were here during the busiest weekend of the year, but it seems like Cosmo's should bring in a bit more help to get their bar responsive to patrons in the dining room. We would have definitely had another round or two of drinks had we gotten them more quickly. On the plus side, our server was super nice and the front of house staff (beyond the bartender) seemed to be doing the best they could and remained cheerful, despite the mismanagement.”

“We stopped during a trip up the coast for pulled pork sandwiches with slaw and mac n cheese. The food was fairly bland and the outside eating area had quite a few flies. Based the food alone, this was in the bottom two for places we ate during our one week stay at OBX. Maybe the other menu items are better.”
