“Outstanding! Even in the off season, we had a wait (about 15 minutes), but it was well worth it. Staff were friendly and helpful. The Philly cheese steak egg rolls were good, but the grilled haddock on cheezy grits was exceptional. My wife had the steak burger and really enjoyed it - cooked exactly as ordered. And the key lime pie was the perfect finish. Definitely one of our go-to restaurants in the Outer Banks from now on!”

“Awesome little eatery. The soups we tried with the family were flavorful and not overly heavy yet quite filling. The sandwiches were all really fresh and satisfying. I personally had the she crab soup and chicken salad sandwich, best quick lunch in a long time. And to top it all off the staff was awesome and the restaurant & restrooms clean and modern. We were fleeing the impending hurricane but could not resist stopping for another visit, before our exodus. “Pigman's was an excellent experience in customer service, flavor, and cleanliness. They've been a popular local destination to eat for years, and I can see why. My wife and I both got the Beezy sandwich. Pulled pork, white cheddar, homemade mac and cheese, zesty white Alabama sauce, and crispy house fries on a brioche bun, also known as delicious. The staff were all extremely friendly and welcoming from the person taking order to the bus boy. Even the bathroom was impressively well cleaned despite it being the lunch hour rush. They earned their five stars.”

“Best food I’ve ever eaten. Went and enjoyed everything. First we were given Hush Puppies which are good no matter what, but these were by far one of the best things I’ve ever had to eat. Then the Hangover Roll came in to make me question everything I’ve ever known about sushi. It HAS BACON. And the bacon is fabulous. It’s is the perfect combination of flavors. The calamari was yummy. It needed more lemon and the marinara was a little rich as a serving sauce (regular cocktail sauce would’ve been better) but that didn’t stop us from eating all of it in less than 5 minutes. The stuffed flounder disappeared from my boyfriend’s plate before I could even try any, but my cheese covered Miller style scallops were good enough. The fries were good. The OBX lemonade is a large glass of danger but still yummy! Try this place and make sure Hush Puppies make it onto your table. You won’t regret it.”

Peanuts by the door while you wait. This location shares a parking lot with another restaurant. Spaces are clearly marked IN FRONT OF FIVE GUYS, that they belong to the store next door. Saw someone park and go into Five Guys... Truck came around. She got to the car before he hooked up. So use the marked spots.”

“JK's has character that you won't find in any chain steak restaurant. Great service and great food! Hostess was extremely pleasant and we didn't mind the wait on a busy night. She kept our group informed about being seated. The waitress was knowledgeable about the menu and made suggestions. She made sure we had everything we needed and was friendly without being too much. “Fun place to get food after being on the beach all afternoon. Loved the shark attack drink for the 9 yr old. Great kids menu, at least for us. Disappointed at the size of the crab cake but the taste was WONDERFUL! Appetizers were fried green tomatoes and bacon wrapped BBQ shrimp with a large slice of grits cake. Let me tell you how incredible the grits cake is!!! Grits and cheese at it's finest!!! As usual, market price for the crab and catch of the day which wasn't too bad. Roughly $85 for 3 adults and 1 child then $15 specialty drinks for the 16 and 9 yr old and coffee and soda for the other 2. Great waitress!!!”

“Just discovered this place. It is awesome! Found all kinds of cool items for a really different and festive holiday dinner. The staff was awesome in helping us put together items and understand the best way to handle/process certain produce. Our daughter is learning Spanish so we are trying to shop more in Hispanic and international markets so she will have more exposure to the language and will use it actively. The staff spoke to her in Spanish and helped her shop using some of her new vocabulary.”

“We happen to find this place for breakfast on our first day of beach vacation. Prices reasonable and the man behind the counter (Toby) was very nice on this early morning! Also the food is out of this world! I have no clue what the recipe is for their biscuits and gravy but the biscuits were fluffy and the gravy is hearty with a small hint of sweet. We will definitely be back :) Vibe is relaxed and you can tell everything is home cooked with some love.”
