The owner asked how I enjoyed the meal today and I told him that I felt like he had the best pho in Durham, next to mine we both laughed. It truly is a great place offering a friendly staff and excellent food. “Every time I visit, pleasant interactions with the staff. Even though it's a smaller location than the Guess Road one, I prefer this one because my experiences have been better overall. Even with the recent additional traffic since the Guess Road location is temporarily closed... they've made it work! I do look forward to bringing the order-ahead option back once it's manageable. The drive thru line was long so I went inside - and I was impressed with their practices for social distancing for inside ordering.”

We went a few weeks ago and it was a little rough but great service and great food. Parking is back behind the building in the shopping center lot on the side. “Absolutely delicious place. The pupusas come in Bean and cheese and pork and cheese. They top it with a spicy cabbage blend and your choice of not spicy or spicy salsa. The crew was a group of young people likely teenagers, and their coordinator was likely in her early twenties. It would seem like a lot of unnecessary people in the truck. The food is delicious but the service is extremely slow. Given the number of people that were in that truck about five I would have expected that it should have taken less than 15 minutes for a single pupusa to be cooked. But alas you would be wrong. Well worth a try but not if you're in a hurry. The other nice thing is they support a great mission. The proceeds from the sales goes towards providing scholarships for undocumented students.”

“Like many, I was saddened to see Wimpy’s close and fairly skeptical about Blake’s being any sort of replacement. Honestly, outside of some subtle changes, like curly fries, it really is the same great place. The burger is amazing. I really can’t tell a difference. Dogs are still great too. Have not been in for breakfast. They have added a bit of outdoor seating. Remember your cash!”

With that in mind, RISE was the best spicy chicken biscuit I have ever consumed. I took and apple fritter along with the biscuit and my only observation regarding that is that it could have been warmer.....no biggie. If you are deciding whether to check them out or go anywhere else, they are worth the parking hassle and possible wait (they do tend to get quite busy). Enjoy!”

“Incredible pizza!!! This is authentic italian pizza. The crust is light, flavorful, chewy in one bite and crisp in the next. Never have I had such perfectly cooked pizza. We tried the margarita, the soft egg pizza with arugula and the mushroom pizza with white sauce and garlic. All three were delicious but the egg pizza was possibly the best pizza I've ever had. I only make it to the Durham Chapel Hill area a few times a year but I will definitely be back to get another egg pie!!!”

“This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Durham! I could eat here every week. The squid ink pasta is hands down one of the most flavorful dishes I have ever experienced.
