“North Durham's newest is also one of the best! I ordered empanada thinking that it would be the same size as the others I have had. When it came out, it's the size of a calzone...and so fresh, obviously hand made and delicious. There's so much menu to choose from; I can't wait to eat my way through it. The salsa has a genuine kick to it that you won't find in fast food. Be patient, it's worth it! Best parking is behind the building.”

“I took my lady here for New Year's Eve dinner and it was great! She had the lamb and I had the scallops. Both were done perfectly. We shared a potato soup and cripy brussel sprouts which were also great. This is a small place but staff is very attentive & friendly. We will be back!”

“This place is incredible and everything Durham needed but didn't know it did (or maybe someone knew it! :) So excited about it's location, the inside is gorgeous and well thought out in terms of space. Love it!”

“Best takeout service I've ever had... BY FAR! I mean, takeout is usually "let me know when you are ready to order", but not here. We talked about the entire menu, what I like, what I wanted and what is really good. I definitely made the right choice too cause I can't see ever picking anything better. Come on man, that is some next level service.”

“My first time there and I definitely will be going back. The food is awesome...at least the BBQ I had. The service was excellent. That is becoming a rare occurrence. I went to hear some music and the stage is just right for this place. Not to loud, at least the act I saw. I look forward to seeing my favorite Blues Artist there...All around great place for music and good Q. Check 'em out. Be sure to check their website for upcoming acts. I love this place!”

“King’s sandwich shop is this great little corner walk up space in The heart of Downtown Durham. Seems like a good place to go after a night of drinking. They have some outdoor seating but not much. I have the carrot dog which was good and novel to order but I would not get it again. Stick with the veggie dogs. Tots are good too.”

“Just stopped in for a beverage and the service was wonderful, great conversation with Kevin. Gave us some great tips on the area. The menu looks fabulous and I can’t wait to come back again. Yummy fried eggs, who would’ve thought a Friday could get any better! So creamy, crunchy and a beautiful presentation!”

“1st time here! Amazing and tasty food! I had a very full of fresh sliced roast beef sandwich! We enjoyed walking around looking at all the items for sale in the store. There are various types of drinks in the coolers to choose from, or a little coffee shop inside too. You won't go away hungry here! If we're ever back up here, a stop back to here is most definitely going to happen!!”

“My daughter moved to Durham and during the move I passed this charming place many times. In fact, I thought the name was Noodles, Dumplings and Sweets. Tonight, while out on my own, I finally stopped in and I’m so glad I did! Rose’s was busy in the kitchen at with incoming customers. I was a bit intimidated to sit alone at the bar but I was mesmerized by all the activity. And I got to talk to someone who was about to take a fencing class next door! I ordered the Autumn Vegetable Noodles and a Sparkling Rose. I was ready to deftly use chopsticks but the noodles and veggies were so hefty that I succumbed to a knife and fork. The presentation was beautiful and the flavors were a mixture of spices that were nearly addictive. Deep, hearty flavors that melded into the noodles and surrounded the taste buds with absolute delight made my evening simply delightful. The staff was kind (but rushed) and have a routine that keeps every customer attended to. Yum. Just yum.”

“This quiet new restaurant snuck up on me and was here for several months before I knew they had joined Durham. An amazing tasting Pizza. The dough is is a major part of that good taste. The owner is open and friendly. Thank you for doing pizza right. This is a lunch time must have dinner too. Looking forward to trying the Garlic knots I saw the other night this is the spot that you come out looking like a hero when you bring your family and friends from out of town. There is plenty of space for large groups with private little booths sprinkled throughout. Thank you for helping Durham stay great.”

“Very good. A nice selection of American BBQ. The fried Okra was perfect. The brisket melted in my mouth. The ribs were fall off the bone delicious. And, all in an atmosphere where we could talk and be heard. A great beer selection too. I will go back.”

“I love the wings. So far they are the best I have had in the triangle....when they are cooked right. It is hit or miss. When they are on point, the wings are life changing. The place is a bit run down, but I prefer this type of bar. I go once a week and the 5 star rating is for two reasons; Great wings and never crowded.”

“If you get the pitcher of margarita it's really good and it actually has a decent amount of liquor in it. I recommend the blue one. The food is ????????.”

“Seems very authentic. My first time having Ethiopian so take that for what it is. Menu very enticing. Everything looks good. The "bread" is awkward. Would recommend offering an alternative because it is unappealing and I heard other tables comment the same. Overall definitely recommend.”

“Excellent service, and even better food! I started with the Brussels sprouts that were out of this world! And for my entree I got the fish and chips. The batter was crispy and delicious. Fresh cut fries that were also delicious. I highly recommend checking this place out!”

“Delicious classic Italian American food with generous portions. The place fills a nice gap for us since The Boot closed. We had some great classic Italian American favorites - the nice red sauces, lasagnas, calamari. Everything was cooked to perfection.”

“I ate here four times in the past week as I was on campus for intensive classes. The grilled cheese with bacon was really good. The breakfast sandwiches (I had bacon, egg, and cheese on asiago one day and another on sesame another day) were really good. Plenty of seating. The employees were nice and helpful.”

“Went there for the first time today with my sons. First off the furnishings are nice and comfortable, infinitely better than the prior taco place. The staff were nice and friendly very attentive. I’m an enchilada man and grew up eating wonderful renditions by my mother and grandmothers, as well as at the great Mexican restaurants in my home town of Pueblo in Colorado. Since moving to N.C. over 20 years ago, I’ve not found any that have impressed me, except for tonight. The green enchiladas were excellent. Great green chili sauce with just enough bite and four on the plate to boot. My sons also were impressed by their dishes as well. The prices were also great, we’ll be going back often”

“The staff is really friendly. Their Korean fried chicken is good. It's crunch outside, bland inside, not very spicy. And it takes a while (20 min) to deep fried. Definitely will come back because of their great customer service. One more thing, don't order their Raman.”
