“Excellent Zabiha halal store and food market. One of our favorite Mediterranean international grocery stores in Durham. We like their Mexican produce, they have a very good Hispanic product selection. I asked about Indian and Pakistan item, they had some but said they will be getting an order early next year with a lot of Desi Stable items. Will definitely come back to check this place out soon.”

“We ordered our wedding cake from Mad Hatter for our wedding a couple weeks ago. They did an excellent job with decor and the flavor was great! They delivered all the way out to our farm which is an hour north of Durham, and the man who delivered the cake (I wish I could remember his name!) was so kind and helpful. Great experience all around!”

“Big shout out to Ninth Street Bakery for hanging in there during the epidemic and still supplying the team with box lunches. I lived the roast turkey sandwich and WOW was that a BIG cookie ????????. I'm still partial to the pumpkin muffin though and the almond cake I had once”

“My daughter moved to Durham and during the move I passed this charming place many times. In fact, I thought the name was Noodles, Dumplings and Sweets. Tonight, while out on my own, I finally stopped in and I’m so glad I did! Rose’s was busy in the kitchen at with incoming customers. I was a bit intimidated to sit alone at the bar but I was mesmerized by all the activity. And I got to talk to someone who was about to take a fencing class next door! I ordered the Autumn Vegetable Noodles and a Sparkling Rose. I was ready to deftly use chopsticks but the noodles and veggies were so hefty that I succumbed to a knife and fork. The presentation was beautiful and the flavors were a mixture of spices that were nearly addictive. Deep, hearty flavors that melded into the noodles and surrounded the taste buds with absolute delight made my evening simply delightful. The staff was kind (but rushed) and have a routine that keeps every customer attended to. Yum. Just yum.”

“I ordered on the DD app a drink then I show up and they aren’t even open a little after 7 am on a Monday. The gas station attendant tells me they are not open. I lost money and no coffee. I don’t understand why they even let you order if they are closed. The next morning I drive by around 7 am and they are open. I don’t understand why they aren’t consistent with their hours. Sounds like they need to just convert to a self serve Dunkin Donuts.”

“I ate here four times in the past week as I was on campus for intensive classes. The grilled cheese with bacon was really good. The breakfast sandwiches (I had bacon, egg, and cheese on asiago one day and another on sesame another day) were really good. Plenty of seating. The employees were nice and helpful.”

“One of the best places to buy food. Large, huge selection of grocery items, with a focus on Asian, mostly Korean, and Central American foods, as well as some African and Caribbean foods. There is also a place to eat prepared Mexican food there, and although I have not tried it, it looks delicious and authentic.”

“The food is delicious, as always. Just this one time I went, the bread was a little off. I am sure they were busy and accidentally left it in too long. Not going to knock off any stars for that. Highly recommend this place if you are in the area.”

“It’s a chain bagel store—I don’t know that there is much to say. The staff was friendly and pleasant, the store was clean, and the bagels were consistent with every other bagel I’ve had at a Bruegger’s. Not going to get any surprises here, but it is a good quick breakfast.”

“A nice and Cozy cafe. The entrance is hard to spot from outside. There is an entry through the hotel parking lot. The down side of the cafe is that they got a limited selection of coffee and only serve dark roasted coffee. I wish that they had more varieties of coffee or medium roasted coffee.”

“Friendly service and delicious food. Everything we ordered was tasty, well prepared, nicely plated, and fresh - especially the Spicy Nantucket Seafood Pasta. We were lucky to be there on a day when you got free half slice of cake with each entree over $15. Since prices are a little high almost every entree qualifies. They make sinfully scrumptious mile-high cakes, so half a slice is quite generous. The decor is nothing to write home about but everything else makes this my #1 restaurant for a satisfying meal in a comfortable setting with great desserts.”

“Fantastic pastries. I was visiting for a few days and met a friend for breakfast. I admired the pastries and cakes in the case as I purchased my muffin. They had a delightful item named Forbidden Fruit, shaped as a shiny green apple, complete with a tiny stem. I planned to pick up a couple on the way out but by the time we finished they were sold out! I selected a couple of alternative cakes that were fabulous. My advice - they go quick so don’t wait!”

“I am a big fan of this place. And especially since we are talking NY style bagels! Every location of this bagel store I have been in has always been a great experience. Locations are great, great atmosphere, fresh food and bagels and also friendly staff! Plus you can’t beat the huge selection of bagels they have. And on Mondays, you definitely don’t want to miss out...13 bagels for $8! Freaking awesome! This is a must visit if you’ve never been!!”

“Last week my husband unexpectedly had major surgery, and I called to order takeout/delivery from this Panera location. I had to interrupt the man taking my order a couple of times as a nurse kept interrupting me, but he was so incredibly understanding. He wished me well, and even slipped in a couple of gluten free cookies. The delivery guy was super kind as well, and he also gave his best wishes to our family. The soup was good, but it didn't compare to these two guys going out of their way to make my day a bit better, despite everything. I wish I remembered these two guys' names so I could thank them personally.”

“You just can't go wrong with Panera Bread. They have a variety of offerings that are clean and very tasty. I had the basic chicken caesar salad with a cup of veggie soup. The only bad thing is the 800 calorie kitchen sink cookie, that I got for my Birthday treat! So much for staying within my macros today!!”

“I always love eating breakfast/brunch here. The Bacon/Egg/Cheese is fantastic and as always I double up on the bacon which in itself is quite good, although I prefer it cooked in such a way where it's not like a wet floppy piece but rather a little dryer so it can hold its form - perhaps the only thing that's not a 5 out of 5; but the flavor keeps the rating 5 out of 5 always.”

“Excellent food and really extensive grog list! Had the schnitzel which was awesome. Highly recommend checking this place out if in the area! They have a great bakery as well. Indoor and outdoor seating areas. We sat upstairs, but any place to sit has a great atmosphere.”

“The food here is great, but they are sooooo slow. You can wait an hour for a plate of pancakes. The wait staff is pleasant but incredibly slow to deliver food or even refill a drink. I could blame the kitchen staff for taking a long time to cook and tray up the food, but when you wait twenty minutes for a refill for your soda, that's definitely the server's fault. The food is the one redeeming feature.”

“The ability to get your soup in a bread bowl is the seller for me. But the best thing, that is offered at Panera is the kitchen sick cookie. I ask my wife to get me one of those as often as she eats here! This cookie, is not like any other cookie, the mixture of toffee and chocolate is fantastic. I have to get two. One won’t make it home! I am warning you, don’t try this cookie! You will dream about it! Regular cookies taste like cardboard now. I am forever ruined. Now I must go get my fix.”

“This place has great coffee, yummy bagels and awesome service. The cashier with glasses and curly golden hair is always smiling and cheerful; And the female manager with dark brown hair is very nice and helpful. I come here quite a few times per week whether dining in with someone or picking up to go, i am never disappointed. Thank Durham staff for all that you do.”
