“Heard great things about this restaurant so stopped by for dinner tonight. I ordered the Bacon Cheddar burger which was juicy and flavorful. My wife ordered a pizza... the wrong pizza came out initially, but the owner Nick was quick to get the correct one out to us and offered us a refund. Milkshake was yummy and the beer on draft was good and very affordable! We chose to eat in tonight and it definitely did not feel "risky" as we were the only dine-in customers for the majority of the evening. Would definitely recommend it!”

“Such a great place! I came in on a whim seeing the “Now Open” sign. I realized I forgot my wallet as soon as I got out of the car and came in to see if they Apple Pay available so I could pay from my phone. Though they are a new place, and didn’t have Apple Pay yet, they welcomed me in and let me eat anyways just to try it out, which was a huge blessing because I didn’t really have time to keep driving around to find food. Everyone is so nice and hospitable. The food was amazing as well!! I will definitely be coming back to see them!”

“Awesome Mexican food! I recently ordered food from Kahlovera Street Tacos from a friend’s recommendation. As you can see, I still went on a rainy day and I was very satisfied with the food I ate. When I placed my order, I spoke with the owner about his business and my familiarity with Mexican food as I was raised in AZ and Southern CA. He recommended that I try a Huarache, I chose the pork – basically similar to a tostado with a slightly thicker tortilla base. It was excellent, very tasty. I also had a cane asada burrito, and once again it was excellent. The owner suggested that I try all of his hot sauces. Not sure of the names, but the red medium sauce with the pepper seeds was my favorite. The red hot sauce that was creamier had a good zip to it, but not too hot. The green medium sauce with the pepper seeds in it was very good. I did not try the green creamy hot sauce, but I will next time. I am a Mexican food aficionado; I love the authentic Mexican flavors and dishes they cook here – very uncommon along the East Coast. This was my first time visiting Kahlovera Street Tacos. I sometimes go out of my way for great eating venues, and I will be eating here every time I am near Durham. Highly Recommended - Bravo!”

“Really glad to finally get to try this new place! The people who work here were really friendly and helpful explaining menu items I wasn't familiar with. The renovations inside are nice and give the place a pleasant, open, sunny feeling. The tortillas are thick and have a nice texture, I assume they're made in house. I got tlacoyos, which I hadn't heard of before, and really enjoyed them. There were enough vegetarian options that I'll be happy to come back and try more. “I ate there today for my 2nd time and enjoyed it greatly! I highly recommend the shrimp spring roll and the steak pho! The owner asked how I enjoyed the meal today and I told him that I felt like he had the best pho in Durham, next to mine we both laughed. It truly is a great place offering a friendly staff and excellent food.
