It is centrally located and is a great place to find food to tide you over, rest a bit, and help replenish your energy as you explore the Old Salem Museums and Gardens. There is even coffee if you need a pick-me-up! They have outside seating as well, under the shade of umbrellas.”

No, seriously, who takes the time to gently mix my drink in a professional way to bring out the unique flavors and ingredient qualities? THEY DO. “This venue is absolutely gorgeous with a beautiful 80s cocktail bar inspired interior. It oozes class and decadence. The menu has a range of luxurious coffees, fine beers, wine, and wines, and also fancy cocktails. I didn't try the food but the menu (mainly sandwiches) looks great. The staff are super nice and welcoming. I recommend The Powder Room to anyone who wants a drink at a high end establishment.”

“Very cool industrial coffee shop with great drink options and beer! It’s located in the Bailey power plant park and has many food and drink places to check out. This place was packed and we were lucky to find a seat, you know that’s always sign of a good business. The service was fine and the music is chill which is great for focusing on work or just hanging out. The interior is very spacious and minimal, they could use more seating especially how packed it gets. Very sad this place is not near where we live but we enjoyed our time spent here greatly, highly recommend!”

“What a great place to come and relax. This cafe is super cute and fun! We came from Greensboro for my mothers birthday and we were met with a friendly staff and the best charcuterie brunch board. We got the full brunch board and it was so delicious. Perfect for four people. The waffles were fluffy yet crunchy and the fruit and bagels were perfect. Would highly recommend coming here for a little snack and relaxed ambiance.”

We brought our toddler in and he got to meet a very exuberant and happy dog which made his day. The ladies working there were so sweet. “The BIG GULP sign caught my attention! Purchased gas at the tank with no problem. Im not sure what I was expecting when I walked into the store but I was pleasently surprised. The store is well lite, neat and clean. Everything I viewed was stocked and neatly shelved. The fountain drink area was clean, stocked and non sticky. The cashier was nice and courteous. Im so glad I visted the store and will probably visit again!”

I don’t want to say it is just because Malika knows my name—you know how SBux surveys say, “I felt like employees tried to get to know me.” or something like that...Ha ha! Hell no, they didn’t try to get to know me! They’re lucky if they have time to make my cappuccino, and service the drive-thru at the same time! :-). But this place I really do know two peoples’ names, and they know mine. Would recommend to a friend—but I don’t want it to be too crowded!”
