“I was getting my car serviced and my wife wanted to go somewhere different for breakfast. I did a search and Grandma Ruby’s came up. Country cooking, huh? Growing up in the south and eating at a lot of friends/acquaintances/dates’ Grandma’s houses, I’d say I’ve become a little experienced with southern or country cooking.... we’ll, I’d like to set everyone straight and assure you this a legit place. I got my over medium eggs with biscuits and SAUSAGE gravy and some tomato slices. I was a very happy camper after that. The prices are great for the amount of food you and for the quality as well. I believe they are only for breakfast and lunch. The wife is a hard to please eater and she enjoyed this place very much and we definitely do plan on coming back soon. “This place is just to cold. When I complained, I was told that there is just so much heat generated in the cooking area. Now, what I think is the people working there need to shed lots and lots of fat that others don't have on them then they can see what the problem is and why people avoid stopping there. Who wants cold, old coffee. The place was empty except for me. In a restaurant, I want a comfortable room temperature. Not hot or cold.”

“Great staff. Affordable food/munchies. I work late, so the current 2 for $5 special after midnight works great for me. Very unlikely to have much trouble here because the sheriff's dept. tends to park either here or in the nearby Waffle House parking lot most nights I've been by.”

“McDonald's is a great place to get food quick. We like their breakfast because they have a complete line of biscuit, English muffin, and bagel sandwiches. Along with hash browns and a variety of drinks, it is quick to go and the quality is consistent. While not quite the same as a more sit down restaurant, it does provide a great alternative for a complete meal.”

“My husband and I were cheerfully greeted by a young lady to take our order. She waited patiently as we were deciding. Our food was very good. Before we, left my husband went to the restroom. Before leaving, he complimented the young lady how clean and aromatic the men's restroom was. We enjoyed our stay AND THE FOOD. YUM!”

“The chicken here is some of the best in the triad and was also founded in Winston-Salem. Definitely suggest if you're from out of town to give this place try. The restaurant is usually pretty clean. I got the snack as I have pictured in this review, it's a pretty big portion of food for a little over $10, and its plenty enough to share between 2 people.”

Arby's don't play, these things are massive (currently struggling to finish a Big Kahuna as I write this) but they are equally as tasty, so I guess failure to finish isn't too bad. “I've been to Chili's Hanes Mill a few times over the past year. The first couple of times was good. But not this last time. I ordered chicken fajitas and they delivered steak. They weren't good. The steak was undercooked and very fatty. And when they brought the check I couldn't believe they charged me for the steak instead of the chicken. In the end, they comped the meal. On the brighter side, they have excellent nachos and chips with queso. It'll be a while before I go back.”

“I've only tried two things on their menu so far - their pizza and their lamb gyro - but they were two of the finest meals I've ever enjoyed in my life. Their pizza is great: Thin, airy, flaky crust with just the right bite to it; and their sauce, cheese, and toppings are all fresh and flavorful. You get as much pizza for your dollar as any of the 'chain' pizza restaurants, but so much more quality and flavor. The lamb gyro, however, was a work of art. It's possibly the best sandwich I've ever had in my life. You could tell everything was fresh and made or prepared in-house. A lot of love went into that dish, and you could absolutely taste it. From the moist, thinly-sliced layers of lamb - to the soft, warm, flavorful pita, it was almost a religious experience. I could eat this every day for the rest of my life with absolutely no regrets.”

“I always take out and enjoy this savory southern BBQ at home. Owners are sweethearts and very polite. My favorite here is definitely the Sliced brisket, so tender and juicy, as well as their succulent ribs. Not much off a bbq guy so can’t say much about it. Prices are a bit high for my favorites so I only get on occasion. Otherwise I would be there weekly!”
