I bought the owner’s handmade pottery as well - beautiful and affordably priced. Also, there is a coffee shop next door, serving great coffee and sandwiches. “Wonderful, family friendly place! It was our first time, and we had a blast! The staff did fun skate contests and were very involved. The reason for 4 stars is the environment was hot and we were covered in sweat, and there weren't enough pool sticks for the tables they had. Jumpy houses were fun, but dated and the rock climb is designed for about 8 and under, and that wasn't told to us until the kids were playing on it. Other than that, a great place to take the kiddos!”

“We were looking for snow crabs in the area and found this restaurant. Didn’t expect much but it by far exceeded expectations. The seafood chowder was great. The crab legs were THE best crabs I’ve ever had in my life. Cooked to perfection. Every leg cracked open came out in chunks of meat. It just slid right out. Every crevice had delicious meat inside of it. So good. 10/10 would recommend. The sweet potato casserole was amazing as well. Prices can’t be beat. Service was great and the bloody Mary’s are to die for. Go to Maggie’s!! You won’t regret it.”

“My husband and I had the chopped pork. Very good! You get a choice for sauces. I had the Sweet Carolina which is a mustard base. Baked beans were also delicious. My husband had a side of the Brunswick Stew and loved it. Try to save room for the Bourbon Chocolate Pecan Pie. It is what we call in the south, " Slap your mama good." “The Subway is so good it made me think: why is it called Subway? It should be called Dom-way, cause it dominates the competition. My favorite part was the fresh bread. When I bit into it, I could tell it was freshly baked. It made my stomach, my heart, but most of all my soul feel like I was back at home in my grandma's kitchen. Love you Roro. “I had the chicken tips with onions and peppers and it was AMAZING! My husband had the prime rib and said it was good as well. Rolls were light and fluffy. Our server was good, but he really shouldn't tell each table how tired he was. He probably was, but it comes off as seeking a bigger tip. Booths could definitely use new upholstery, but otherwise it was very clean and nice.*** Had to drop a star. Went back a few weeks later and had a painfully long wait for our food. They weren't even that busy. Food was good when we finally got it. Talked to the manager who apologized and gave us vouchers toward out next meal. We did go back and had a better experience”

“Perfection! Every time I've been to this location every aspect of my experience has been perfect! From the top-notch, friendly and helpful staff, and the ability to get in and out quick, to everything about the food itself (taste, temperature, correct order, correct condiments, napkins in the bag) I have absolutely no complaints about this location... My children and I ate here several times a month when we lived in the area. Now anytime we visit we make sure to stop and grab lunch here! Bravo! This is the best example of fast food done right!”

“My daughter and I went for lunch for our 1st visit. The atmosphere was nice, restaurant clean. Sat at the bar and the young woman was extremely kind, explained anything we asked and worked very hard. I thought the price was a bit high, @$11 for a Reuben but it was good. I was not impressed when she pulled out a container of Ingles Best ice cream to make our $6 sundae. It seems you could locally source ice cream of quality for that kind of charge.”

“We were coming through this town on our way to the beach and we stopped at this restaurant. We waited about five minutes to be seated, but there are seven of us so we expected it would take a minute to make accommodations. We were seated and Sam immediately came and took our drink orders and explained dishes to us. I ordered the strawberry biscuit and sweet tea, it was fantastic and so much better than what I had expected, which was a biscuit with strawberry jelly. What came out of the kitchen was a magical dish, two biscuits covered with strawberry and whipped cream and powdered sugar. It wad so delicious and Sam kept up with refills like a champ, she had to come back twice with pitchers for us and we never had an empty glass. She was so pleasant and her southern hospitality really made the experience for us. The food is fantastic, it comes out of the kitchen fast, and the service is great. This is a really wonderful little restaurant and you're missing a real gem if you pass it by. I definitely recommend this restaurant, go in and ask for Sam!”

When we told her just to swap it with another side, she said she couldn't do that and that we had to wait the 10 minutes. The rest of the staff was very nice and swapped the rice out.
