“I enjoyed a wonderful lunch here yesterday. I had a chicken salad sandwich and the best potato soup that I have ever had. My friend had a yummy Greek salad with chicken. The service was not only warm and friendly, but our order was out incredibly fast, it was accurate and best of all delicious. When I told one of the owners how much I loved the soup she surprised me with a complimentary to go order of it to enjoy later! That was so kind of her! The owners both mingled with patrons and ensured that everyone was happy. I definitely give them all thumbs up. Restrooms were clean, and the dining area was nice and clean, from dirty tables.”

“I saw a recommendation on Nextdoor Neighbor to try this place and, man, am I glad we did!!! Based on the recommendation, we stopped by for dinner this evening. We need to get the word out about how great the food is...seriously!! I had red beans & rice and chicken tenders. My husband had jambalaya and a breaded pork chop. Oh, my gosh...it was all to die for! We took a huge portion home as we had to save room for the butter pecan bread pudding. It was so good that my husband said, if he were ever on death row, the bread pudding is what he’d choose for his final meal! Now, that’s a serious compliment! Please try this restaurant, you’ll be so glad you did; I am!”

“This is my husband favorite place to eat! Great prices wonderful food that is kept new and exciting and very professional waitstaff. The perfect margarita is perfect! The bathroom is always clean and the wait times are pretty good for such a busy place. It also has excellent cub service. Any time there has been an issue the managers a fast to fix it. “The place was hopping when we arrived and the predicted a 20-25 minute wait. We didn't even wait 10 minutes. The service is great and the food is delicious. Even with them being packed they were on top of everything. At one point, just after getting seated, I realized we didn't have cutlery or napkins. It was almost like the server read my mind, cause they showed up just seconds later. They were rolling them at that moment to keep up. The garlic knots were great, the caprese salad was just what I wanted and the BBQ Chicken pizza was lovely. My husband thought it could have used a bit more sauce. There wasn't any left to complain about though. Great atmosphere, great food. We'll be back!”

“I love the Poe House restaurant in Henderson, NC. I was only staying one night and wanted to experience something local that expressed the culture of the town. I felt this was truly a hidden gem on the lower level and old historic type of building near Main St downtown that is decorated in Edgar Allen Poe themed decor. The downtown is so cute that it is worth taking the time to visit. The food is reasonably priced and gourmet plates were very good. We ordered the cheese plate, the meat plate, the Caprese salad and a beef sandwich, also with a suggested wine from the menu and a speciality alcohol free drink. We had good entertainment and service. I look forward to returning someday.”

“Actually never made it to dine at the restaurant due to the fact that we were traveling and unable to know an exact travel time for arrival in Henderson. Therefore I could not make a reservation as recommended on their website before 4:00 pm. I walked right by it though and it was packed with diners on a Wednesday night. I took a photo and will definitely try next time. Since I could not get a reservation to try gave it a 3 star. Would like to see a way to accommodate out of town travelers w/o a guaranteed reservation.”

“What an amazing place. First time there...my wife and I were completely impressed. My wife had the regular chicken biscuit and I had the hot Nashville chicken biscuit. The chicken breasts were huge...they filled each biscuit. Each biscuit was beyond delicious. We had mimosas (pureed fresh strawberries, lemonade, and champagne). My oh my they were so good. We each bought a donut but as of yet we haven't tried them. But just smelling them I can tell that they are going to be wonderful!!”

“My family loves Hot Dog World. We have been going there for over 25 years. They have so many great burgers and hot dogs. They have soup, chili and great salads. The Greek salad is amazing! They also have specials of the day that my husband always gets. He loves trying different things. I almost always get a hot dog and a fried apple pie. But sometimes I get a chili cheeseburger. There chili and coleslaw are just perfect condiments for whatever you buy! It's great for families because you can get a lot of food and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. If you haven't been there or are here on vacation, Hot Dog World is a must try before you leave.”

“When I first discovered Papa John’s was here, I thought to myself, “oh, how lucky!” I used to work at this location. Even when I stopped being the one to make the food and take the orders, it’s still just as delicious and prompt. We are so lucky to have a Papa John’s. I’ve eaten perfect pizza from Brooklyn, NY, or like, St. Mark’s Place, or even in southern suburban New York, and while THIS pizza is widely divergent from all of that, it’s still really, really good. I hope everyone has the same experience as I have had, eating delicious special pizza made by some very committed, hardworking individuals. I repeat, Hendersonville is LUCKY to have a PJ’s. Go easy on the criticism is what I hope folks will do. Did you know more flies with honey than vinegar goes twice over for pizza places? The reason being, it’s still Italian, so be kind, and grateful. Then, you will receive in kind. Just because one experience included late and wrong doesn’t mean that was the intention, nor should one time be for all time. Sometimes I wonder about this town. So they messed up, so? I remember I saw one guy walk out saying he’d never come back because the pizza wasn’t ready exactly on time on a Friday night. My dear lord, I feel like this Papa John’s gets targeted. Come in and make it yourself then, that’s what I did.”
