“What an amazing place! Words don’t do it justice! The gourmet food and concierge services are outstanding. The staff pays real close attention to detail. We had our family gathering here and while it is pricey, it is worth every penny. Save up and enjoy. The rooms are very comfortable, the views are breathtaking and the privacy is unmatched.”

China Wok

Niki's Italian Bistro

Address: 69 Locust St, Spruce Pine, NC 28777, USA

Restaurant

“My husband and I went to this restaurant for a nice Italian dinner. We were disappointed that there is no bar as of yet but I hear it's in the works! The food was very tasty. Bread very good but would have been nice to offer Olive oil as a dipping for the bread. It has the potential to become a fine dining but waitresses need to step it up. One instance the waitress set a full tray of drinks on our table that she was delivering to the next table. We were in the middle of eating so not so nice to have that set down next to us. The other major issue was the waitresses had on masks but were wearing them below their noses. This doesn't protect anyone! Hostess didn't have a mask on at all. It is a small restaurant and while tables were closer to six feet apart the restaurant certainly wasn't following the 50% capacity rule. We haven't ventured out much so are a little nervous about all this! When every table was completely full we opted to hurry up and pay the bill! Not such a relaxing evening as we had hoped. I am giving this restaurant a 5 on stars based on their food. If I were to give them stars based on staff and covid rules it would be a two. I know what adding a two star can do to ones ratings therefore I am just expressing my opinion as I felt it needed to be heard.”

CJ's BBQ

Address: NC-226 ALT, Spruce Pine, NC 28777, USA

Restaurant

“We ate here while passing through on our way from Bakersville. The food is simply amazing. The ribs were incredible. Sauces, several were unlike any I’d had before, were amazing. Definitely try the Cherwine. We’re were already happily stuffed when the chef brought us a sample of “Mississippi pot roast.” We we’re hooked, and brought another rack of ribs, the Mississippi pot roast and sauces back to Maryland with us. We just had them for lunch. Amazing! We really enjoyed the fries and fried pickles too. We really wish they shipped their meats and sauces because we’d happily order more of their delicious food if we didn’t have to drive 14 hours round trip to get it. Any and every time we’re near that part of NC we will be going to CJ’s for BBQ.”

La Taqueria

Address: 14496 NC-226, Spruce Pine, NC 28777, USA

Restaurant

“We had an amazing lunch here. All fresh local ingredients, nothing from a can! The owner was delightful and chatted with us. They even had great vegetarian alternatives and catered for my dairy intolerance! And after all that, it was cheap too. Go there, thank me later!”

Capone's Italian American bar and grill

Address: 118 Oak Ave, Spruce Pine, NC 28777, USA

Restaurant

“Food and service good. Fairly priced. Not a wide selection of pasta dishes for an Italian restaurant but a good salad bar and a wide selection of sandwiches. They also seemed to have a wide selection for mixed drinks, beer and wine. This is a new restaurant in Spruce Pine so still kinda working out some kinks and they are doing a great job. Hopefully they'll get more pasta dishes on the menu soon”

Hef's Restaurant

Address: 89 Locust St, Spruce Pine, NC 28777, USA

Restaurant

“Food was great. Had to wait awhile for the food but worth the wait.”

The Tropical Grill

Address: 198 Oak Ave, Spruce Pine, NC 28777, USA

Restaurant

“Today I went to the tropical grill during the Blacksmith festival and the tropical grill was insanely busy. Despite this, the waitresses were still very attentive and got us our drinks and took our orders as soon as we were ready. Our drinks never reached under half full and anything we needed was provided right away. They also made very sure that we enjoyed everything and the food was incomparable to any restaurant in this area. I will definitely be coming back and recommending this restaurant to all of my friends.”

El Ranchero Restaurant

Address: 202 Locust St, Spruce Pine, NC 28777, USA

Restaurant

“Great food, great service and affordable pricing. Serving beer and mixed drinks as well as traditional beverages including southren sweet tea that is excellent! The margaritas are great also.”

LAS CRUCES formerly Yummi Cafe

Address: 209 Locust St Suite B, Spruce Pine, NC 28777, USA

Restaurant

“This little place in the charming, if unfocused, mountain town of Spruce Pine has an interesting menu with fresh ingredients and unique recipes. Mostly familiar Mexican items like tacos and burritos. Each has an interesting twist, and they strive for fresh, local ingredients, which are pretty good. They bill themselves as Latin Fusion, and plan for a broader, varied menu to include original small plates, clever sandwiches, soups, more desserts, etc. They opened just a few weeks ago, so things weren't perfect, but it was a happy visit. They tried hard, with cheerful staff, and busy kitchen, so it certainly will move from very good to excellent. A sauce bar with 4 different tastes is a nice addition. The seats and tables are native wood, and while interesting, don't invite diners' backsides to linger. Passable selection of healthy vegetarian/vegan dishes-- and more to come. I enjoyed the vegan fajita, which was a tad greasy, and I suspect might have come from a steam tray, and not right off the grill. But small, local places like this, off the beaten track, have to make some compromises. They should be applauded for their efforts. Beer, wine, and liquors are sold, which is quite an achievement for a dry Bible Belt county that does all it can to put innovative restaurants like this out of business-- for their sinful ways. I will go back, probably frequently, as they get everything in sync. Definitely worth the stop.”

“Great burger. Nice lady came out and took our order then brought our food to the truck--- that's a special, different kind of dining experience. I'd love to try the BBQ. They also have foot long hot dogs. Fries and tots were fresh and hot with plenty of ketchup packets.”

Hardee's

Address: 6187 US-19E N, Spruce Pine, NC 28777, USA

Restaurant

“My husband and I ordered hot ham & cheese sandwiches and they were actually hot and fresh. We have been avoiding Hardee's lately because our food was cold and did not taste very good the last two times but this meal was totally different. The onion rings we're fresh and hot too.”

Chalet Restaurant

Address: 86 High Ridge Rd, Little Switzerland, NC 28749, USA

Restaurant

No. 3 Grill

Address: 2360 Swiss Pine Lake Dr, Spruce Pine, NC 28777, USA

Restaurant

“I have dined here several times. Everything I have ordered salads, steaks, burgers, seafood were scrumptious. Please do not let the rednecks writing some of these reviews deter you from trying what is truly a great restaurant that Spruce Pine is lucky to have. However, I play golf here and for years I have wished there was something quick to pick at the restaurant like hotdogs before hitting the links. I work in advertisement and I can tell you that the local golfers are the life source ($$$) of Grassy Creek Golf Course... be very nice to the local golfers...”

Pizza Hut

Address: 11911 NC-226, Spruce Pine, NC 28777, USA

Restaurant

“Easy access to pick up. Our order was wrong as usual. We also had to wait for the wrong order then for them to get it right. The food is great when we get it home. That's why we go back. Service isn't good but the food taste delicious!”

Western Sizzlin

Address: 11961 NC-226, Spruce Pine, NC 28777, USA

Restaurant

“Food is good basic fare, hearty and bountiful. What it lacks in atmosphere (decor, lighting, physical comforts) it more than makes up for in pricing. Super affordable! Servers are always pleasant. My friends and I work out at the gym and then hit its salad bar regularly.”

McDonald's

Address: 12063 S 226 Hwy, Spruce Pine, NC 28777, USA

Cafe Restaurant

“I only eat the McGriddle with sausage and egg, no cheese, with a hash brown and large sweet tea or large vanilla cappuccino. Always great and my order is always correct. My visits are at all different times of the day and there is never much of a wait.”

Tokyo Restaurant

Address: 12105 NC-226, Spruce Pine, NC 28777, USA

Restaurant

“Was pleased to be able to choose Japanese or Chinese style food. And I could choose to get noodles instead of rice. I didn't much like the chicken but everything else was really good. Especially the little egg roll I got, it was awesome. I ordered my food to go. It was fixed quicker then expected. The buffet looked good as well, just didn't have time to stay. Next time:)”

Country Cafe

Address: 12175 NC-226, Spruce Pine, NC 28777, USA

Restaurant

“Awesome cheeseburger on a big soft bun that reminded me of the diners of yesteryear. And their onion rings are the best I've ever had anywhere! I loved the salt and pepper breading on them. Highly recommended!”

KFC

Address: 12358 Highway 226 South, Spruce Pine, NC 28777, USA

Restaurant

“Love the "original flavor" chicken. The Colonels got it right”

Taco Bell

Address: 12358 NC-226, Spruce Pine, NC 28777, USA

Meal takeaway Restaurant

“Great KFC/TacoBell location! As good as any that I've ever been to! If you're look'n fer some quick chickeny/ Mexicalish food that you can get hot without even leaving your car, than this is the place to go! Fast, friendly service from a great local staff that loves you and your business! I just wish their management would step up and show some Mountaineer Pride in our county by participating in an Adopt-a-Highway program. Talk with the folks at DOT today! The free publicity wouldn't hurt and we all need to do some community service. Heck, with a little effort, they might even get five stars from me!”

Subway

Restaurant

“As good as any Subway I've been to. The crew are great! Thanks for keeping a consistent good meal alternative alive!”

Tin Shed

Address: 2598 Altapass Hwy, Spruce Pine, NC 28777, USA

Restaurant

“Off the Blue Ridge Parkway, well worth the trip. Great food and very friendly staff. If you're wanting fast food or in a hurry this is not for you. Food is cooked fresh when ordered, not cooked and sitting under heat lamps. Everything is made from scratch and raised by Lacey (owner). Had the sausage sandwich red and green grilled peppers and onions with fries. Great sweet tea. Outdoor eating only, stays busy. Well worth the trip and wait.”
