“I'm a fan of True Blue so I figured I would check out Ellipsis. Service was phenomenal. The space is smaller but definitely not cramped. Great decor and the music during the jazz brunch wasn't too loud. The food was neutral/good. Not bad, but not anything to write home about. Simple mistakes on the plate e.g. over-salting or overcooking proteins. I'm willing to come back once more and see if a culinary event on a different day is any better food-wise.”

The German Chocolate cake was delicious, the Pineapple cake was fantastic, The Yellow cake with Chocolate icing was on point and the Pound Cake was divine. “(for the record I never post reviews) AMAZING! Honestly, I was just driving down the road. I headed to my next stop for work and I saw a random food truck sitting in a parking lot and stopped. I am so glad that I did. I consider myself pretty well traveled as far as trying different foods and getting away from just burgers and french fries, but I have never had food that is Halal. So I stopped out of pure curiosity and it was an absolute win. Abdul and his uncle were both amazing and friendly. I had no idea what I was doing and Abdul walked me through the whole menu and what everything was. I ended up giving it the big boy try and trying one of everything on the menu that day I got falafel I got their special fries. I got lamb and chicken Shawarma and it was absolutely incredible. There is not a single thing I would’ve changed about my experience and now that I know that they’re here I will definitely be a regular customer moving forward. I would love to see these guys in a brick and mortar location. They can have all of my money as long as they keep putting food out like that I’m hooked.”

Love Los Portales and they mentioned this would be more authentic like that given their affiliation. California Mexican is hard to beat ....unless you're from Mexico. Again, beautiful location.
