“We stopped by today for the first time and will definitely be back. We enjoyed delicious food at the grill (crab stuffed mushrooms, fire burger and mussels in white wine sauce). Also shopped in the market for some local eggs, and stocked up on sweets in the bakery! The service was great in both the grill and the market. It's definitely going to be our go to for local food and produce. ♥️”

“Fantastic little bar/music spot just across the street from the beach in Surf City. They have a good mix of craft beers on tap & in cans/bottles. What makes it so special? The owner is clearly a music lover & has a stage set up with multiple guitars, a keyboard, super cool drum pad, etc that is an anytime/all the time open mic jam venue. We discovered this gem of a place late one evening while on vacation with my relatives from England. We all rediscovered our musical talents & ended up playing & singing until they closed. The friendly owner behind the bar is the happiest guitarist on the stage. I most definitely recommend The Second Row to anyone in the near. You'll have a great beer & a great show!”

“We had a great experience. We had to wait about 45 minutes for a table...I'm not typically a "waiter" but decided we would. The app they use let us know exactly where we were in line and how long we'd been waiting, which allowed us to kill some ti.e on the pier! Service was good, he was busy, but did a good job. The crab cake was outstanding!!! The other 3 meals we excellent as well. And we finished with Mississippi Mud Pie which was decadent! We have a new favorite on the island! Dining outside was beautiful at sunset. Couldn't have been better!”

“The restaurant was not too packed, day after Memorial Day we enjoyed a nice steamer, stock was depleted on clams due to the holiday but staff made adjustment and took care of us. The food was very good and the beach side scenery was excellent. Our waitress was very sociable and very congenial. This was a great experience for us. Try the Edward Teach on tap, it's Aces.”

“Food was awesome! Service was great. I’m assuming the owner is the older gentleman, he was amazing. Cleaned off our tables and chairs before we could sit and arranged them so we could all fit. Saw him run after a family that walked out after seeing it was crowded and told them he would make room. Everything was clean and staff would regularly check to make sure we were satisfied.”

“Popular spot, located right near the pier and public beach access. Good hot dogs and a fun atmosphere. Decent variety of beach fare. Picnic tables in front and quick service. Owners seem very nice. There was street construction which detracted some from the ambience. Have been multiple times and will continue to support this local business. If you visit Surf City this is a ‘must visit’ on your list.”

“We came for breakfast and had to wait because there is not much seating. Took about an hour to get our food after we ordered. Food was delicious though and reasonably priced. I respect the cook to order however, I feel like they could come up with some solutions to get food out quicker to their customers. I have been for lunch before and did not have a problem with a wait for food. It is a good spot to get grilled food.”
