“This place screams 'hidden gem' to me. Don't let the plain exterior throw you. Came for a Sunday lunch. Interior was cool, very industrial throwback, practical, with a pool & games corner, bar with TVs, the usual fair. Place wasn't crowded, but far from empty. Menu was sandwichs, burgers, salads. Excellent selection, lots of variety. Burgers seem their specialty but don't sleep on the salads--they are very generous with the portions. The price:quality ratio was honestly perfect. Love the brisket burger with fries; couldn't imagine ordering a double or triple burger. Beer was very reasonably priced, not sure if it's pricier during prime hours. Loved our waitress, who was attentive, cheery, and did a great job and earned her big tip. Can't recommend enough for a simple lunch.”

“I eat at Chico’s whenever I am in Greenville. Food is very fresh and there are so many choices. The street tacos are excellent! The salsa is great, and if you want something spicy ask for the hot sauce that you can add to the salsa. Price is very reasonable, and they seem to have a lot of daily drink specials.”

“Ate here for the first time yesterday. Our waitress patiently waited to take our order as we were discussing a sick family member. The staff was very friendly and answered questions about the dishes on the menu. The fried tofu was amazing! We were checked on several times during our meal and when our waitress brought us our check she included a note that read: “Hope everything gets better! Whatever your faith I’m praying! Thank you, come back soon! Also took 7% off have a great day!” It brought tears to our eyes and we felt very blessed that she would be so thoughtful and caring for people she’s never met. It truly made our day that one act of kindness brought warmth to our hearts and smiles on our face during our difficult time. We couldn’t be more grateful that we chose an amazing restaurant, with amazing food as well as amazing staff! Five stars for amazing food, amazing atmosphere, child friendly (as we had a young baby with us), caring and compassionate staff.”

“Fantastic Reuben sandwich. Rye bread not too dry, and corned beef sliced into many pieces. Servers visited us routinely, and open table format makes it an amazing trivia venue (Thursday night 8 pm at the time of this writing, June 7, 2019).”

“These folks have some fabulous beers from time to time that are wonderfully and surprisingly good. They also have "guest" taps. I had my first true sour here - the Ezekiel from D9, on a guest tap. Trollingwood's own Roggenbier, Pumpkin Antispice, and their Cinnamon Porter have been really quite good for me. I am hoping this brewpub will survive. The college crowd seems to pass this one by in favor of Pitt St. brewing right around the corner.”

“I visited without any prior understanding of what the place was like or the food they served. My initial thought was that the pricing was a little high, but after further consideration, they earned every penny. The food was prepared perfectly, very delicious, and served quickly. The environment was also fun and interesting.”

“Smashed Waffles is a unique experience if you enjoy waffles and excellent coffee. I specifically recommend the Nitro Cold Brew coffee. Located near a variety of restaurants, Smashed Waffle is a great place to grab a sweet dessert after dinner or to get your “pick me up” during the day.”

“F and S is very good restaurant, if a bit pricey. Excellent food served by very personable wait-staff - Herb is our favorite. I prefer a more-classic, more-casual place, and to me the restaurant seems modern and industrial - but I don't let that opinion influence my impressions of the food. OTOH, my fiance loves the decor. To each, his own, I guess”
