“My wife and I came in and were seated right away. Then it took about 4 to 5 minutes for an employee to approach us to get a drink order started. Then the female employee who said she was going to take care of us left and was replaced by a very nice man (Joe) who made our dinner experience just fabulous for the rest of the meal! We had two different pizzas, a wonderful garden salad and black bean and cheese dip with great tortilla chips as an appetizer! All the food came out promptly was very delicious and was picture worthy! We had craft beers and ciders from the N. Carolina area that were very good! The atmosphere was cozy with beautiful outdoor seating and a small bar area that is very inviting! The prices are good to moderate! If you just go by the food then this place is awesome, but Joe helped put the whole experience to a higher level! I feel this is a must go to place if you're looking for a great meal in a small town atmosphere!”

“Great place to grab a bite and a local brew! The owner Melisa is wonderful! She even surprised us with free wings so we could try the new flavor. The Honey Iracha and Bloody Mary dry rub wings were Delicious and the white pizza super cheesy! Thanks!”

“The only word for this Inn is PERFECTION. The owners, Maryann and Marc make you feel a part of the family. They go above and beyond to make your experience unforgettable. The general manager, Leigh Is an exceptional attribute to their Inn. She is very warm and pleasant. The restaurant, Newmans, is exquisite..a festival for your taste buds. Enjoy the fabulous selection of wine while watching the many birds enjoying their own feast.”

“We had a wonderful lunch today at the Lavender Bistro. Both my friend and I had the Pick 2 (I had the mushroom soup and chicken salad sandwich; my friend had the roasted pepper soup and the BLT sandwich). We enjoyed then immensely (I now know why people rave about the mushroom soup!). Antoinette was our server—so charming and helpful. We look forward to returning!”

“We didn't know that it was a private club. But the manager was warm and welcoming. He did not pressure us into joining. He just said if we come back he would tell us more. The food and service was great. I only wished my fries and okra was a little less greasy. Also if you have a hard time with stairs, I would not recommend. Otherwise I really enjoyed it.”

“This was our second time eating here. We like the eclectic decorations, friendly staff and unique fare. The baked brie appetizer was delicious as were the muffin, fruit and mixed greens that accompanied the beef taco quiche. The quiche was disappointing in it's blandness. I expected more flavor for such a unique dish. Despite that, we will eat there again!”

“Great first time experience, service was friendly, timely and the food was delicious! The staff was very nice and up beat. Their menu has some out of the box options that you can't normally get at a pizza place which is nice to see. Definitely will be going back again.”

“Stopped in here because, being new to the area, we hadn't tried this place yet. We were so glad to have stopped. The place is quaint and the food was delicious. I decided on the special, a 14 oz. NY strip steak. We started out with corn fritters. We were really amazed that the corn fritters were different than we were used to, but in a good way. They were deep fried and laid in a sweet sauce. They weren't just cream corn fritters, and they were awesome. On one hand I was hoping that the entrees would be as good as the appetizers, but on the other hand, I thought ordering a steak may have been a bad idea, since I really love a good grilled steak. I was not disappointed. The steak was cooked to perfection and was delicious from end to end. My fiancé had the salmon and was also pleasantly delighted. We will be back. We love this new town of ours and all the places we've eaten at were very good so far. We look forward to trying more places and returning to places like this one.”

“Never disappointed when I visit here. The food is super delicious, staff always friendly. And the price for the quality and quantity of food you get is well worth it. I wish we had side street in Charlotte. If you are ever in the area or passing by this should be your go to place. Trust me you will be mad at yourself if you pass up this gem...”

“This was our first bed and breakfast and it has definitely set the standard. The area is very scenic. The common area lounge was so cozy and beautiful. We ended up playing chess for hours, having a glass of port, and eating brownies. The room is gorgeous and warm. The staff was so accomodating to us arriving later in the night. This has been by far one of the best home-away-from-home experience! Thank you!”

“Great tacos, nice salsa bar, and cold beer on tap. I like the grilled chicken tacos on corn tortillas with onions and cilantro. Just add a squeeze of lime and the salsa of your choice. You'll never eat a taco bell taco again if you try one.”

“Our server was rude. The food was worthy of a 4 star rating. Very authentic tacos and fajitas. It was just like authentic street tacos I've had made fresh in the past. I've already recommended the restaurant to several who travel a similar route as myself several times a month. We will be back and hope for a different server.”
