“Fantastic choice for Authentic Southern BBQ! I had the ribs (dry) and the meat pulled off the bone so easy I stripped them clean. Very nice rub flavor and a wonderful smoke ring. Best ribs I've eaten. Wife had the burnt ends and she loved them. I will be back to try the brisket next Give 'em a try, if you like real BBQ flavor without smothering in BBQ Sauce you will love it. If you have to smother your meat with BBQ sauce . . . Well . . you'll love it too but your missing the art of smoking meat. The rub used on the ribs was perfect! Don't Use The Sauce! Get them Dry. Try it, you'll like it. If not, well they have an assortment of BBQ sauces at the table you can use as you wish.”

“Stopped to grab a bite here for lunch after a VA appointment. I actually like eating in the older, downtown area of Salisbury. Something about the architecture makes it feel really "Andy Griffith" - which is NO WAY anything bad! It just means everything has this awesome charm to it that is nice to submerse yourself in. The Oyster Bar is the same way. Nicely tucked away in downtown Salisbury. This place has great food! I could eat seafood every day and be perfectly happy and this place's menu is awesome. It was fresh and cooked perfectly. Seriously, the fish and chips I had were incredible. Service is great, people are friendly... you should go check it out!”

“Quick take out. I’ve tried the Scallion Chicken lunch special, steamed dumplings, and hot and sour soup. I really like the dumplings and hot and sour soup is pretty good too. Definitely cooked by legit Asian men. Although when you call they just take your order, don’t ask for your name or number, and just hang up, but they definitely will have it ready when you come to pick it up.”

“We really like this place a lot! Local restaurant for nice dinner or supper. This definitely isn't fast food, so don't expect that. It's a warm, and cozy, and genuinely friendly place to talk about your day over dinner, or to have a beer and wings with friends. I love the hamburger steak and mashed potatoes, okra. Fried green tomatoes with ranch! I can tell that they are trying to work on getting things organized since they are new. Good people, good food. Grab a slice of cake and sit on the porch for a while! One employee had me ready to not return, just because if her attitude. I gave it some time she has improved but not by much. And i do believe she is a shift leader or she may even be the store manager. The employee i encountered today had a greeting of i don't want to be here, I'm getting paid, so thats enough. “Ah The Carriage Room. This was my hangout in the eightys. I was there 6 nights a week mostly. I was happily pleased that not much had changed in the 30 years since I had last been in. The bartender was extremely friendly and the prices were still very fair. They have enlarged to two rooms, four bathrooms, and three pool tables. The bar is bigger also. They used to have killer burgers, but I didn't try any food. My request, please bring back Old Milwaukee. The taste is as great as it's name.”
