“Great views so try and sit on the balcony or at least by the windows so that you can enjoy the view of Lake Lure. My husband had the Ribs and he said they were the best he ever had, they were falling off the bone they were so tender. I had the hamburger and it was your typical burger, I was satisfied with it. They have helpful and friendly staff. They do not take reservations even for large groups.”

“I was hesitant getting sandwiches from a gas station, but my family told me how the gas station was owned by the person who rented us our pontoon boat and his son owned the sandwich shop. To support local businesses we went here for lunch, and I am SO happy we did! Amazing chicken salad sandwich and my family all loved their lunches as well! The service given to us by the shop owner was awesome, too. We might end up going there tomorrow as well. I definitely recommend this place!”

“This little beach Cabana has ice cream, alcohol, and souvenirs for sale. You can also go on a wine boat tour, a lunch boat tour, or just a normal tour. We did the normal boat tour and it was super interesting. Would definitely recommend that. You can also rent pontoons, kayaks, canoe and other small boats to take out on the beach. They have outdoor seating available and are just a few steps away from the beach.”

“Good spot for a cold beer and snack after a round of golf, a quiet moment with your favorite beverage and companion on the back deck overlooking the lake, or a dinner in the restaurant. “11 of us showed up to eat at Victory Kitchen with no idea what to expect. The restaurant was full which was a good indicator that we might have chosen a good place to eat. Shortly after getting there enough tables cleared out that we could sit down, a table of kind strangers offered to switch tables so we could all sit together. The folks that run this place are very kind and helpful. Before long we had menus, drinks and coffee. The menu has plenty of options and can't imagine anyone not finding something they would like to try. Between the 11 of us we ordered several things: omelettes, french toast, pancakes, hasbrowns etc. Everyone in our group enjoyed their selections and portion size was perfect. Wish we lived close enough to come back often. We left there feeling like we had eaten breakfast at a friends house. If you are in the area you should stop in and try Victory Kitchen, I am sure you will not be disappointed.”

“Foxrun/ Den is a large timeshare within the Wyndham Rumbling Bald Resort. The location in the mountains on Lake Lure is stunning.The units are large two bedroom, two bath townhouses or single family style homes with a mountain home look. These are nicely equipped to handle up to 8 people with full kitchens. Unit owners, renters and trade in guests have access to all the resort amenities including two outdoor pools, an indoor pool and exercise room and full service spa. Two on-site restaurants and a cafe offer good food. There are bike rentals, kayaks and SUPBoards on Lake Lure. A new hiking trail has been opened but we haven't explored it. Other restaurants are a few miles away, many exceptionally good. We are owners here and spend a month every year in late summer and love it.”
