“The owner Demetrius Hunter greets ever person who comes through the door and treats them like family. I have known him since we were small kids and his demeanor has never wavered. The price are extremely reasonable, and the quality is unmatched. I watched him help customers with were not knowledgeable about certain vegetables and he gave them advice on how to cook them. He and the staff will help you with your groceries to your car. That is so refreshing, like the old days. If you want that welcoming, old time, back in the day feeling you got from a retail store or place where everybody knows your name, then this is the place for you. I promise you'll thank me later.”

“I highly recommend this location in ever way shape and form!!! Best burger I’ve had! A simple spot at the farmers market by dix park, made to order, the gentleman that takes the order is absolutely great!!!! I will definitely come here again if I’m ever in the area from FL.”

“Just had the jellof rice with some fried plantains and fried goat meat.... remind me a taste of home. Very affordable. I will definitely go back to get another one.”

“This shawarma place has just opened! It’s located in the same building as Checkers pizza. First, the customer service was great, the man I spoke with couldn’t have been nicer. The meal wasn’t too expensive, and portion size is good. I hadn’t had shawarma before, so I can’t speak to authenticity, but it was delicious! Perfectly cooked, and the meat plus sauce and pickles was a delightful flavor combo. I also got to try the rice which was exceptionally flavorful, the chicken kebab which was tasty as well. I was provided a few sauces to try and I would recommend them all! For dessert I tried the baklava and I’ve gotta say it’s some of the best I’ve had in Raleigh. This new spot is awesome and a great addition to the myriad of restaurants on Hillsborough street. Highly recommend checking it out!”

“Taqueria Los Toros has been my favorite food related discovery in at least the last year, maybe more. First of all, the food is just pure quality, I've tried almost every type of dish they offer and they have all been fantastic. The meats are well seasoned and the toppings are balanced. Second the price, for the quality you get, it's a steal. I can't recommend Los Toros highly enough, just go.”

“This was my first time trying hot yoga and it was an EXPERIENCE. Definitely take the more mellow classes if you're a beginner and aren't used to yoga. Staying hydrated is so important so you don't pass out! The location itself was so nice, clean, and aesthetic. The instructors seem to be knowledgeable and well trained (I've taken classes with Lipsa so far!). Do not be late to class (arrive 15 min early) bc late entry isn't permitted! Mat rentals are available and there's showers with amenities after workout sessions 🌸 They really had everything you need for a great sweat session. The best part is being able to order an acai bowl or smoothie to be ready when you get out of class! (Dangerous for the wallet, but feels amazing to eat after). The studio itself is darkly lit and feels very private and relaxing, allowing you to really focus on your movement rather than other people in the class, which I really like. Parking is a bit difficult but there's street parking available and a nearby Publix lot if you want to walk a bit to the studio. I'll be coming back to spice up my workout routines 🧘🏻♀️🫶🏼 also their merch is cute imo”

“The food was amazing!! 10x better than I was expecting. The restaurant is presented with a "local and chill" kind of atmosphere and the food is brilliant placed on the plate. All the flavors blend so well. I can tell it's going to start booming once the word gets around. The best part is the location and food 😁😋”

“Friendly service, super fast, and the food was delicious! We loved the fried ravioli appetizer. How can you go wrong with fried cheese? The crust on the pizza was perfect. We got the margarita pizza and it was very good. A medium easily fed 3 of us. My friend ordered the penne with vodka sauce and really enjoyed it.”

“I ordered the Torta Cubana and it looked delicious. It was, for the most part. However, I can’t ignore that the bread used was dry and of cheap quality. Some of the other ingredients were also too cheap for a $12 torta. The staff seemed nice and the wait wasn’t too long, so it’s worth a visit.”

“Found out Premier Cakes opened a diner location at the museum and I had to try it out with some coworkers. The owner and staff were extremely efficient and friendly to my group as well as every customer I saw enter the diner. The burger and fries I ordered was excellent!!! Keep in mind it could take a few minutes as the food is cooked to order. I forgot to take a picture of the meal, because I was too excited to eat it. If you are in the downtown area, be sure to check them out AND save room for dessert afterward! Such delicious options, but they do run out of things, so come early. 😊 Also check out the bakery location on Falls of the Neuse.”

“I never had Pho before only seen videos on YouTube. It was good, I probably should've ate it there. My issues was the place smelled like cigarettes which I hate and my shrimp wasn't deveined and the heads was still attached”

“I was a trucker for over 3 yrs. I have been all around the US trying different foods. But this has to be one of the best foods, and definitely the best empanadas, I've ever had. You are doing yourself a disservice by not yet having this. I had the chicken and shrimp empanadas and let me tell you they were both devine. Hot, juicy, and tasty. Make this one of your stops when you hit the Raleigh area!”

“An upscale treat that's worth the visit. Once people start knowing this place is open, it's going to be hard to get in. We sat for dinner on the patio and other then a friendly carpenter bee buzzing around, it was the most relaxing time I've had in awhile. The food was incredible and the flavors blended together to a savory delight. The cheesecake was made in house and was pure creamy silk. We all tried each other's plates and I normally dislike salmon but I will order it next visit because it was so good! And the service was very attentive but not intrusive and the manager came by to check on our meal. She even asked questions and also brought us a sample of a side we had chosen to skip. Overall a delightful experience I can't wait to have again.”

“It's very hard to find parking around this area. Service has always been quick and servers are friendly. The food is ok. To me the food prices are a bit much and doesn't match the quality of the food. I like the bowling here but arcade gaming area could use an upgrade. Not a huge selection of games to choose from. But definitely something to do for any day of the week.”

“We found Bonchon in Chapel hill last year and have been a few times. Their food is so good and it’s always a treat when we go there. We were planning to go there last night, but we saw that this location was open! We had the nicest server Tommy. We ordered fried dumplings (amazing) and a family meal. The family meal was only $40ish and we had so much fried chicken to take home. It’s the best value they offer. The fried rice is some of the best fried rice I’ve ever had and their chicken is also equally amazing. I’m so glad this location opened and we were able to visit during their soft opening.”

“This is nice small bottle shop. A bit pricey compared to others bottle shops, but they have a good selection of beers. Nyles it's great and hopefully he is working behind the bar when you go! He is always super friendly and help you figure out what will be a beer you will really enjoy! They have draft and canned beers. Lay back place, and at least the times I have been there it's not too crowded so it's great to have a good sip and a conversation!”
