“Delightful flavors. I can recommend any of the trout dishes. Reasonable portions for reasonable prices. A thoroughly satisfying experience if you don't mind a limited menu. Look them up on line to see the menu.”

“Nice small eating area. Pizza was very good. Split a House Pizza with my wife and it was tasty. Kids food was ok. The kids pizza was pretty lame as it was French bread with sauce and cheese. The kids pretzel was just the pizza dough shaped like a pretzel. Beer was cold and the service was great.”

“Love Six Pence Pub! Food is fantastic. They have many options for bread. One of the few places I can get my Club sandwich on pumpernickel! Centrally located in Blowing Rock, it's a great spot for lunch or dinner while touring the shops along Main Street. Staff has always been exceptionally friendly and I have never had a bad experience. Always worth the drive up from Charlotte to eat here.”

“A neat little wooden cafe in a cozy corner of a quaint little town. The ambiance is just, calming. I was here in April when it was still chilly and the kitchen's warmth with the small chimney-esque fire crackling nearby couldn't complement the service any better. If you're in Blowing Rock town, this is a must visit.”

“Good food. Service is flaky. Lots of open tables and a 20 min wait? Reason, kitchen gets backed up? Could be more helpful/knowledge about beer...and have better beer.”

“This place opened the last night we stayed in Blowing Rock (they're closed on Mondays and Tuesdays during the off season). Our waitresses Kelly and Ellen were awesome and recommended some new goodies that were recently added to the menu - and they did not disappoint. We started off with the Smoked duck flatbread as an appetizer and it was out of this world delicious! Next up was the 4 cheese ravioli which is served with a pesto sauce vs a red sauce. This was my first time ever having ravioli with a pesto sauce and my God was it delicious! Kelly recommended adding a side of smoked duck on top of the ravioli and I was blown away at how much smoked duck was added for 5 bucks! This dinner was by far the best meal I've had in years. As a matter of fact, we came back an hour later to get another order of the smoked duck flatbread to bring back to the hotel. Fast and friendly service and incredible foods...what more can you ask for when dining out. We'll definitely be back!”

“The food and customer service is phenomenal. My husband had the Reuben with mixed veggies and a side of pesto pasta salad and said it is by far the best he has had. I had the chicken salad melt with mac and cheese. Both were delicious. We would highly recommend this place for a quick lunch. We were in and out in an hour. Will definitely return.”

“A good restaurant must be able to serve customers with allergies such as shellfish. When one of our group, who has shellfish allergies, wanted to order fish, she was told the chef couldn’t guarantee it would be uncontaminated as there was only one refrigerator in the kitchen so all seafood was kept in it. The friend then wanted to order a chicken dish but Unfortunately , the fryer wasn’t operational so optional chicken dishes were also unavailable. Our friend ordered a meatless dish that had a marinara sauce. The waiter, after talking again to the chef, informed our friend that the marinara sauce could also be contained with shellfish so she had to order a meatless dinner without marinara sauce! Our waiter was excellent and our dinners were good but we will not return as we were disappointed to be told this highly acclaimed restaurant could not assure its customers could be served food without concern of activating a food allergy.”

“Great food and decent prices. Sara is a sweetheart. We had walk to the restaurant from our hotel which is about a quarter mile away. A monsoon started, and she was nice enough to drive us back to our place. Unheard of where we come from. Definitely recommended!”

“It was decent. The wait time on a Friday was only 20 minutes. The food was good and hot and came out in a decent amount of time. The servers were great! They sang Happy Birthday to my son who turned 24 that night. His complimentary birthday ice cream was near melted...idk why...but couldn't complain. All in all, it was a good night and we will be back.”

“We sincerely enjoyed our visit here (4 adults and a 2 year old)! The server was excellent, extremely attentive, and very cheerful. The food arrived quickly and was delicious. Live entertainment started about halfway through our meal and we really enjoyed it. It did start to get busy around 6pm, so go early, especially if you have a big party. Highly recommend!!!”

“This was the first place I ate at when I temporarily moved into the area. It is easily located off of 321. The staff greeted me warmly. I try one of the newer sandwiches, I didn't like it, but I forgot what it was. I do like most of their sandwiches, especially the sweet onion chicken teriyaki. But by and large I do like Subway in general. A good selection of sandwiches. Hot or cold. Fresh toppings. They have online ordering now.”

“A very nice hotel restaurant in an historic building. We only ate breakfast but I'm sure the other meals are equally delicious.”
