Westmont at the Lane

We have been here for a bit more than a year it has been wonderful. Every staff member is really nice and approachable. The hallways and outside grounds are always well kept.

We've lived here for 2 months. Fantastic staff and maintenance techs. Couldn't be happier and highly recommend.

I wanted to wait until I was here more than a month before writing a review.

The Process--Adriana is fabulous, and just a beautiful person! She is professional, quick to respond, processed my paperwork and got me approved very quickly. The entire process was seamless. She is the model of good customer service! From tour, to application to approval she gets top marks!

In terms of the apartment---- I like it. It has nice accents and lighting, nice size kitchen with nice appliances. I especially like the very large washer/dryer, very good quality! I also love the beautiful flooring in the living room and kitchen. The kitchen cabinetry is very nice, not typical. The bathroom is also a nice size with a soaking tub. The water pressure is not very strong, not terrible, but not the best. My only complaints are there are not enough closets in the one bedroom and the apartment runs a bit hot so I have to keep the air conditioner on longer than I usually would. One more closet and perfect in terms of space! Also, moving in was a bit of a drag because you had to make multiple trips on the elevator. I will say though they provided two carts to help with smaller items so that was very helpful. The soundproofing is solid. Most of my neighbors are polite and quiet. No one blast their music, TVs or other electronics. Sometimes my neighbor above stomps around, and my other neighbor's dog barks a long time some days which can be annoying but otherwise it is pretty quiet. Trash room is cleaned out regularly and hallways kept clean so far. Sometimes people do not put bags in bins but that can happen anywhere. I use to see a woman cleaning daily but they may have reduced her hours. Parking is covered, convenient, and great, and outside of a few people leaving trash sometime it stays pretty clean. There is a beautiful patio and community space to read, work or relax. A nice size package room is provided for picking up large deliveries and they send you a text or email when one is placed in a locker. Maintenance, Tim, is professional, kind and quick to respond. In terms of payments, everything can be done online including maintenance requests. The building feels very safe, and the neighborhood is walkable. So far, I love it here!

UPDATE: After a year of living here, I am moving out of Ohio but this was my favorite apartment since moving to Ohio, I will miss it! The staff were great, I loved my place and it was a peaceful place to live.

Westmont at the Lane has been a dream experience for me in Columbus. This luxury complex is located in Upper Arlington within walking distance of restaurants, bars and businesses. Upper Arlington is close to Ohio State and the neighborhood is walkable and safe. The building is new and beautifully maintained. Jesse and Abi do an excellent job managing. This team has been responsive, friendly, and attentive to my emails and calls. They set the tone for the living community which is active and very friendly. Westmont at the Lane has exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend.

I’ve been living at the Westmont now for almost a month and I can safely say this has been my best living experience in Columbus to date.

Both Jesse and Adriana have been incredibly responsive and perceptive. My emails and calls have always been answered within a day and generally I can get a reply after about an hour. I’ve checked out so many places to live where the leasing staff just completely ghost me so Jesse’s accessibility from the moment I expressed interest in living at the Westmont was amazing. I feel it’s so important to have an active and efficient property management team and the Westmont honestly has one of the best I’ve ever seen.

Move-in was such a breeze and all appliances have been working flawlessly since I’ve been here. Within a week there was an issue where my air conditioning actually went out during construction on the roof on an excessively hot day. The office happened to be closed that day but I emailed Jesse and he had Tim, the maintenance manager, at my door within the hour. Tim went above and beyond to make sure I knew I was his priority for the day and stopped by three times while attempting to fix my a/c, one of those times was just to check in and let me know he was still actively working on a solution. Sure enough, he had it fixed that afternoon.

There have been minor issues along the way, like setting up my resident portal or the one monthly fee for storage I had but didn’t need. My fee was removed right in front of me with no problems and it took a few tries to set up my portal, but, again, issues are always resolved as quickly as possible thanks to timely replies, which I greatly appreciate.

The location of the Westmont is also perfect. It’s very close to the Ohio State University and Upper Arlington is arguably one of the best Columbus suburbs to live in. There are tons of great and scenic places to run (or walk) that feel very safe and so many places to eat or go out to within a few blocks all along West Lane Ave. Not to mention the giant Whole Foods right across the street which is so convenient.

All in all I feel the Westmont is exactly what you’d expect and want from a luxury apartment. It checks all those boxes and will meet all expectations. What really sets it apart for me is just how friendly and on top of everything the staff here is and that’s really not easy to find anywhere else. I definitely recommend the Westmont.
