Ashley's Pastry Shop

This place is an Oakwood classic. My friends and I would all go there after school back in the 80s, and now my kids do the same! All of the cookies, breads, muffins and cakes are amazing. Try the cronuts! They also offer gluten free options for those with food sensitivities.

I love the vibe of Ashley's! There gluten free bread is the best I've ever had as well! It's so hard to find a good gluten free bread and her bread is by far the best I've ever tasted!

Ashley's has probably the BEST pastries around! Super friendly staff, Ashley included. The only reason for the four stars instead of five is because it is a little more on the expensive side. Understandably so considering the area where it is located (Oakwood).

My coworker and I came to Ashley's in search of breakfast while traveling on business to the Dayton area. As we prepared to pay, I realized that it is a cash only establishment and we barely had any cash. When we mentioned this to the person working (I'm assuming this was Ashley!) she nonetheless asked us what we wanted and said that we could bring cash back later. Unfortunately we were leaving town that day so this wasn't a possibility at which point she just asked us to pay it forward with an act of kindness toward someone else. What a nice way to start the day. Oh, and the glazed croissants are wonderful!
