“Let it burn. What was once my favorite bar of all time has closed for good. All of this due to poor decisions (or lack thereof) from the owner, Mike, who successfully ran this place into the ground with no remorse. Every server and bartender of this establishment over the years gave everything they had to try to survive the continuing fire. Despite incorrect obligations, there was never any threat to Ollie's immense selection on their store side, and now the Centerville and Dayton area will suffer greatly to try to find a shop even remotely similar. Also missed will be the insane collection of whiskeys that the bar also stocked, almost rivaling Century Bar, but never advertised or pushed to sell. I look forward to seeing all my favorite bartenders, Chad, Max, Jordan, Michelle, Brittney, Jayson, and Brendan, the ultimate beer god who ran the store, on the other side. RIP Ollie's Place. I learned so much about my love of whiskey and tried so many here, through meet ups with friends, celebrations of my wedding, and meeting new people. Cheers.”

“The biggest negative was the waitress being inattentive and even that was supposed to be from a big takeout order.The food was no worse than a typical Mexican restaurant but it had several nice things that make it stand out for me. The salsa had a bit of spice and the chips weren't salted which tasted great. The Mexican casserole I had was quite good and the rice was a bit better than usual places. Plus coupons aren't rare so the food is cheap and filling on top of good.”

“One of the better BBQ's. Brisket is excellent and pulled pork is great. Rib's are just OK. Their sides are all great BBQ beans, greens and Mac&Cheese are favorite! Their BBQ sauces are excellent the hot is favorite but you have to like the heat. One criticism! I tried their smoked ham for Easter and was not pleased. It was way too big the bone probably weighed two lbs. and it took a skilled butcher to carve it. I was in the restaurant business for 35 yrs. and was all I could do to carve it. It must have weighed 15 to 20lbs. Would have liked smaller hams 5 to 10 lbs. All said it was the best tasting ham I've ever had and I include Honey Baked!”

Only downside was the yellow corn. Literally came straight from a can. My boyfriend picked the pinto beans and they were so tasty. Wish I chose those over the corn. “I had high hopes but was kinda let down. I had an order of a burrito and a bowl along with some chips and a drink. First, we were charged for two drinks. Second, there was a lack of chicken in my burrito and a lack of beans in the bowl. On the positive side, I had thought I had over done the spice but was pleasantly surprised. Between the wild salsa and the mango habanero sauce, I thought I would of ruined the food. The fruity sweetness of the sauce was way different from what I can get at other burrito places. Overall, I would give it another shot to try and make a more cohesive burrito using that fruity spiciness.”
