“I tried VIP chicken and fish for the 1st time. It's new to the neighborhood. I started to pass on this, but the gentleman that answered Ithe phone quickly recognized that I was a new customer, and was accomodating, so I got catfish nuggets and greens. The catfish was good, but the greens did not have flavor. I have noticed that many of these soulfood restaurants around here are serving greens that looks and tastes like it came from the can lately. The other thing is that the only side that comes with the meals is French fries. I think there should be other side options available, and vegan options for the meal choices.”

“I went to Brothers because I had several people recommend this place and I seen a lot about this place on Instagram. It is one of the few places I have been that has lived up to the hype! The honey wings are what I heard the most positive things about, and I have to say they were excellent! I also tried the lemon pepper because I was told those were also great, and great was an understatement. The wings at this place are full of flavor, perfectly crispy, and juicy. Not many restaurants can make crispy chicken wings that aren't dry, and Brothers got it right! The fry seasoning is well balanced in flavor and salt, and exactly what crinkle fries need. I also tried the Perch and Whiting, I have to say they were just as good as the chicken minus the sauce. Brothers offers great portion sizes, great prices, flavorful food, and welcoming service. I highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys good wings, soul food, or GameDay foods.”

“My fiance and I were visiting the Roscoe village and one of the store owners recommended we try the killing tree winery and we are so glad we did! Not only is the atmosphere awesome but the views are beautiful and you can't beat sitting around a fire pit with a nice wine slushie! Also they let us sample all the slushies and it was so hard to choose which one to order., they were all amazing. The food was great and the service was great! “This was my second time having Indian food, it was DELICIOUS!! The restaurant was clean and in good condition, but lacks atmosphere. The young men working the tables were wonderful, but clearly inexperienced. They’ll get there! The buffet was hot and fresh, but slow to be replenished. My wife and I were the only ones there when we got there and we got everything we wanted, but more guests arrived, and nearly cleaned it out. Our second round was adequate, but there were no signs of replenishing. The buffet labeling could be better, menus or table cars would be helpful. I’m not saying all of this to be critical, I loved the food and really want to see this restaurant be a huge success!”

I highly recommend trying the Cantarito — especially if you’re a Paloma fan. Make sure to ask for the mango habanero salsa. It’s fantastic with the perfect mix of heat and sweetness. The building company has done a wonderful job revitalizing the corner here and CLE bagel cafe has already done a wonderful job serving its newest patrons! Bagels are delicious. “I am not a big fan of hotdogs, so I have to admit I was skeptical at first. However, I can honestly say that not only did I enjoy it, I was actually impressed by how good the food was here! I ordered a chili cheese dawg and my mom got a southern slaw dawg. The portions were quite generous, so it’s a good deal for the price. We both found it easier to eat with a fork. The hot dogs were high quality and the slaw was delicious and home made. I would definitely recommend giving Jack’s Kitchen a try!”

“We enjoyed our food truck meal from this very hidden little gem. New to the area, they are just starting out but have some delicious Thai food. I had the beef Pannang which had a flavorful sauce. We tried the Gyoza and dumplings as well and both were tasty. I recommend calling ahead to place your order if possible. The street is a bit hard to find as it doesn’t appear to be a street. I also recommend you use a gps app to find it. We took our order to go to a little brewery down the street (north water brewing co) and ate outside. Definitely will come back!”

“Went to Dave’s Hot Chicken for the first time and it was awesome! Really fresh, hot food. Super clean inside the dining area and the staff were all super friendly. It was BUSY and they got our food out really quickly. I got the chicken slider with fries and a drink. Chicken was seasoned really well. “The food is on point! Service was fast too. We had the short rib and brangus meal. The beef was incredibly flavorful and tender. The smoked fish was fried to perfection. I hope the Filipino community can come out to support. My feedback is to see more Filipino “flavor” in the atmosphere. It’s such a vibrant culture but the building as it stands is plain. The specials menu needs descriptions next to each dish but the owner is kind and will take the time to describe each traditional dish for you. I bet you can’t go wrong with any special dish or lunch/dinner meal.”
