“I loved the food and the atmosphere! I wanted to try something new and I got the catfish sliders with a side of fries. I am usually a picky eater but it sounded good so I got it with everything on it to try something new - it was a great decision because it was delicious! The fries were seasoned to perfection and some of the best I’ve ever had! I placed my order online but when I got there I saw they do to-go daiquiris and I HAD to try one. I got a strawberry daiquiri to-go and it was delicious - basically just an adult slushy! I will definitely be back soon!”

Be careful of the spice rating … I picked mild, but it was pretty spicy. Everything is cooked to order, so expect to wait a bit. DEFINITELY try their dessert croissants - scrumptious!”

“From the moment you walk in the door you are greeted every time with smiles. They are always happy to see you. Seated very quickly always. Staff always happy and laughing and friendly. Get free salsa, chips, AND queso, which is just amazing. Food comes out quickly. Tried many dishes and all food is always fantastic. Our server today was Francisco, he always made sure everything was smooth and didn't intrude. If there were more stars to give for this experience, I would! Couldn't recommend enough!!!”

“First time to MO’s and it was EXCELLENT. Waitress was on the ball. Kept coffee refilled. Book cooks came out to ask if everything was okay. Two other waitresses also came to see if we were satisfied. Food was excellent as well. Had to have food done a certain way due to allergies and they didn’t complain about or charge extra. “We had a great experience at The Canebrake. Totally unexpected as to how very nice it was. The cabins are not cabin-like decor but very up-to-date and very comfortable—terrific atmosphere in the room I shared with three friends. The room was extremely clean, bed comfortable, nice large shower. To top it off, we found all the staff very accommodating and most welcoming!! We’ll go again for a family weekend outing.”

“My wife and I drove over to check the foliage colors around Ft Gibson Lake and Sequoyah State Park, and also to try JC’s (Jauan’s) at their new location. According to the waitress the restaurant retained the same staff along with the menu. We tried the Burrito Monterey. A flour tortilla filled with well-seasoned ground beef, topped with lettuce, tomato, sour cream and queso. The lettuce and tomato made the burrito taste much fresher than just a burrito with sauce. Packed with ground beef, filling and delicious. The refried beans were smooth creamy and not bland. Very good salsas and the chips came to the table fresh crispy and warm. The restaurant is a repurposed diner, clean, lots of room and there are big windows that allow for scenic views of the lake. I like it! It was a pleasant experience. If you are looking for other Mexican restaurants in the area, check out my reviews in my collection "Jalapeno Highway" on Yelp. I've probably been there. Previous review from October 6. 2023 This is old Juan's that operated on the east side of Hwy 69 just north of the intersection of highway 51 in Wagoner. The menu is the same, even the telephone number is the same. The restaurant has changed its name and now operating under the alias of JC's. The restaurant is now located on the south side Hwy 51 just before you cross Ft Gibson Lake going east to Tahlequah. Easy to get to and ample parking. See the Spike S. review for Juan's in Wagoner. I was not too impressed with the restaurant when it operated in Wagner, however it seems to be well loved by the locals. Since I'm frequently in the area I will give it another try.”

“My aunt is from Louisiana and put my husband and I onto this spot. Today we stopped by for the first time and it was delicious! I’m from the east coast, so of course I tried the crab cake and I was blown away. It was probably the best one I’ve ever had. We ordered the shrimp Alfredo and that was so flavorful and had a nice spice. The boudin ball was spectacular as well. This place will definitely become one we frequent, staff is super sweet as well! We were very impressed.”

“We have eaten at this restaurant many times and the food has always been very good. Today I had the catfish which was excellent and was so fresh and hot I had to let it cool before I could eat it. My wife had the butterfly shrimp, her baked potato was perfectly cooked and her roll was hot and fresh. Their creamy garlic salad dressing is outstanding, I always order a side salad because of the dressing.”

“The waitress was awesome but the fries were cooked with old grease and had a old grease flavor. The Mexican burger was very good, but the chili had tasted like it was cooked too long. We also had chicken which also was great. I tried the coleslaw and it was really sweet. Overall, I may try them again and see if it improves.”

“The rolled ice-cream was yummy came out to $10 for 2 small cups. The 2 girls working took extra steps to make my kids exactly like he wanted- he had an exact vision of what his rolled ice-cream was gonna be like over the past several days till we could get there today! We were both happy with it. He had green colored ice-cream with sprinkles rolled up, an air head rainbow with clouds (whipped cream), more sprinkles and gummy worms on top. I had the doughp. :-)”
