“Having lived in Salem for 20 years, it's exciting to find a new great restaurant, as there are not that many to choose from. This is the best breakfast in town that my husband and I have found and best corned beef--made on site. The corned beef and cabbage and potato hash is fantastic--best hash I've ever had. Not at all greasy. The breakfast burrito is delicious. Really big portions. Most of their business is weekday lunches, so a much quieter spot for breakfast than most. Excellent service and very friendly staff. Can't wait to try their Rueben for lunch.”

“We stopped by this brewery in had the fish-and-chips which was awesome and not greasy. The original fish chowder was fantastic. We had An extended flight, we thought the spit fire was the best of them all but they were all tasty! It was so good we came back the next morning for their 8-12 brunch in had French toast and they're amazing back bacon. We will definitely be visiting this place again!”

“We both had Tom Yum (noodle soup). This is my litmus test for a Thai restaurant. It was delicious. Flavorful broth was spicy not just hot. The tofu was rubbery so I will try the chicken next time. I have also had the pumpkin curry here which is truly excellent. The service was attentive for an early dinner The atmosphere is nothing special, but I went for the food. I will return.”

“This is a great little neighborhood restaurant. Tucked off of Commercial with entrance really on Browning, it probably doesn't get the attention that it deserves. We'd talked for some time about going here and finally did tonight. We were not disappointed. Very cute interior filled with greenery, lanterns and orchids. Lots of natural light which made the dining room very inviting. Limited menu but the items are really delicious. Very generous portions. Prices were reasonable if not a little high but the quality and the freshness of the food was worth it. Definitely need to check it out.”

“I have ordered from the Domino’s Pizza on Commercial Street SE while staying at the Phoenix Inn Suites Salem while in town on business. The service is always fast and friendly and the food was always delivered hot, fresh, and delicious. You can even make a trip and take some great food and eat at Silver Falls State Park which is only about 25 miles to the East. If you are going to be in town and are in the mood for pizza and such, then I definitely recommend trying this shop.”

“It's Taco Bell, aka "Mexican" fast food. While not authentic in any form of the imagination, Taco Bell does a pretty good job of turning out some delicious Americanized food. I tend to hit up Taco Bell for breakfast. The Grilled Breakfast Burritos are cheap and tasty. The Breakfast Crunchwraps offer a selection of bacon, sausage or steak (my favorite) accompanied by eggs, cheese and a hashbrown wrapped in a tortilla. Taco Bell is good for a quick and relatively inexpensive meal.”

One person had vege stir fry that was not spicy, one had a noodle vegetable dish with a pinch of spice and one had yellow curry that was delicious. Everyone was pleased and there were so many more options to try on another visit. The owner was willing to customize a dish to specific food sensitivities and the dining area was tastefully painted with attractive paintings and quiet background music.
